Get a inning out of someone and let Betances go 2 IP at most.

I know he is probably calling the game from the locker room, but Girardi was ejected on the Drew bunt call.

I forgot he got ejected but anyone with a brain should know not to make such a ridiculous move. Now Betances is feeling like shit when it is really not his fault. This was unnecessary. Kelly/Hill should have pitched the 6th with Betances pitching the 7th and 8th.

I'm not mad at Betances. More mad at Kelly but the person I'm mad at is the person who

1) Thought it was a good idea to bring your set-up man in the 6th inning

2) Thought it was even a better idea to throw Betances out there for a 3rd inning when he never pitched 3 innings this season

I can't even be mad at Kelly. He's not supposed to be on the field in the 8th inning of a 1 run game

Yanks are trying to be smart this inning.

They know they can't swing for shit so their objective is to not swing the bats much and hopefully force the pitcher into a walk before he gets 2 strikes on them.

yes tonight it was bullpen management. I am talking about the fact that every game for the past few years seem to be close. Any bullpen is going to blow some of them, be it poor pitching or mismanagement.
