That title was a complete fluke but congrats on it.

I'll gladly take a fluke 97 win WS winner over, say, a 116 win team that loses in 5 games in the ALCS.

what an absolute shitshow of a series between the Sox and O's. O's fans have plenty of reason to be pissed about how that series went.

I think some of the bitterness goes beyond 2017. Showalter's always been a thorn in the Red Sox side and there was the incident with Betts last year (I don't think Wright was actually trying to throw at Betts, but either way, I'm sure it didn't sit well with the Red Sox players).

I have no idea exactly how they are doing it, but that has been the case for about 6 years now with Showalter.

Mediocre Starters, One Dimensional Offense, Sometime good bullpen = best record in baseball??

Heck, no other team has more wins in all of baseball since 2012. It literally makes zero sense.

No other team in the AL has more wins since 2012. The Nationals, Dodgers, and Cardinals all have more wins though.

I have to think this Britton injury will eventually cripple them though.....The Orioles dont make moves to bolster their team, and I think it will be their undoing eventually

Zach Britton injury is going to be costly if the Orioles dont have a closer at all.

Two blown saves now in the last 2 weeks with a 3 run lead....not just close ones.

Surprisingly, it is the one glaring weakness of Baltimore. They dont have a closer.

They might want to try and let Givens take his chances at it.

I don't think it's that huge, they have the two best records and it will be a lot of fun (except tonight against the Amish dude). After this series they play 13 straight games against teams with records under .500 (Royals, Rays, and A's). That stretch will be huge, they "should" win at least 10 of those games and those are they games you NEED to win if your going to play meaningful games in October.

I'll take a split against the Stros and be happy.
