Sideline reporters need to wear washable clothes. They can't afford to send everything to the drycleaners.
I believe her name is Audra Martin.

Plouffe doubled back after dumping the Gatorade on Span and wet T-Shirted Jamie Erdahl with the last half gallon. Terry Ryan made him pay for her dry cleaning.

nice game by Bibee.

who develops pitching as well as the Guardians?

I saw a stat a while back- not sure if its still true- but it was that since Tito Francona took over- the Guardians have the 2nd most regular season wins in the American League behind only the Yankees.

With their payroll limitations that can only be done by developing a lot of pitching and making some good trades.

as I said- want to make a bet that they still carry a combined 2.5 ERA at the end of the year?

I will even give you 2.75.

Right now- if Ober were eligible (which he is close) Ryan, Gray and Ober would all be top 10 in ERA in the American League in ERA.

I do not think that is likely to continue.

If you do- cool- it will be interesting to see who is correct.
when I made this post- the Twins trio of Ryan, Gray, Ober had a combined era south of 2.50.

Already over 2.75.

Ober at 3.4 this month, Gray at 4.0, Ryan at 3.5

Still pitching very well- but they were never going to keep up what they were doing.

Sonny's moron manager brought in the biggest mental midget pitcher against the best player in the game to give up those runs. This one is not on him. Gray should have kicked both of their asses, and he definitely could.

Ryans FIP has lowered since you mentioned it lol

His 7 ER against the Tigers was due to an error(not ruled yet, still being petitioned) and fluke pitching. Again, FIP is what tells the story not ERA.

Also, for the sake of consistency that you continue to not show. You said that the Twins starters were pitching over their heads and Cleveland had "more proven guys coming back". Well Mckenzie blew his arm out. Civale is slowly starting to find his normal......not good Civale form. So really as I said would be the case no edge has come for Cleveland in pitching.

yah McKenzie blowing out his arm fucks things pretty bad.

I am interested to see Williams' 2nd start tonight. Quintrell should be back soon- hardly a world beater, but the last 2 seasons he pitched 350 innings to a 3.2 ERA. Hopefully he is healthy for some depth.

Allen, Bibee and Williams are all going to be in innings limits. If I was a fly on the wall of the GM's office in Cleveland I would bet, since they were winning and McKenzie was kicking ass, they let him go over what they wanted him to for IP last year.....and it came back to bite them.

I dont see Allen, Bibee or Williams hitting 160 innings- at most around that.

I hope they stretch out Cody Morris. He has good stuff- among Guardians SP prospects he doesnt really rate- but most systems he would be a guy that gets a pretty good shot

if Guardians decide to have a mini-rebuild this year and trade Bieber- where do you think he goes?

Some candidates in my mind:

Orioles
Reds
Angels
Dodgers
Diamandbacks

Braves have a real lineup.

Literally like 7 of their players(if you include Harris finding his usual form lately) would be the best hitter on Twins and Guardians(besides Ramirez for Guards).

That contract is looking like a mistake before year one is half over. I said the second that we thought that we lost him to the Giants that we should have pivoted and spent that money on pitching. That obviously hasn't been our problem this year, but you can never have too much.

Albies has an OPS of .810. Hes having a very solid year.

I think the Guardians started like 7 guys the other day with OPS under .700 and are currently being blanked by the Royals

Our teams both suck ass offensively. Like majorly.
