Hopefully the Correa signing finally goes official, you never know. His 3rd team this offseason
It is official. The news conference happened and he was photographed in his old number.
From the rumor mill - Max Kepler to the Marlins for Pablo Lopez? Is this a legitmate deal?

Chicago still seems to have the most experience and talent but interested to see if CLE repeats. Minny gets Correa back and is right there. It's a 3-team race. KC and DET still young, when does DET make the jump? I think they still have another couple years of the rebuild.

I thought the Tigers could make that jump last year and they fell on their faces. The lineup was awful with Candelario and Baddoo taking huge steps backwards and only one player with 300+ PA had an OPS+ above 100 (Haase). Meadows dealt with injuries and COVID, I think he rebounds this year. Grenee had an OK debut (99 OPS+), despite the high K% his whiff and contact rates look fine... too many ground balls though. Torkelson's contact/whiff rates don't look bad but it seemed like he was having mechanical issues at the plate. I don't think the lineup will be quite as bad next year, but it's hard to see them being better than merely below average. I think the rotation will rebound as well, but I still don't think it's enough to offset a blah offense and they're still likely without Mize for a good chunk of the season.

Jason Kipnis was a very scrappy ballplayer. I appreciated his ability, but did not like to see him play the Twins.

Yeah he absolutely killed the Twins in his prime. I'm sure it helped that our pitching sucked for most of his prime, but a very good player nonetheless.

If he doesn't take care of that, his career is over.

I'm actually moderately excited to see if detroits lineup can come together. Carpenter has been hitting well and Tork is turning a corner in spring training.

Greene had a 1000 OPS in spring.

But need these damn pitching injuries to chill out.
