Just bet 10 bucks on Colt Keith to win ROY. Pays out 1000. Dude has been balling of late. Dumber things to throw away 10 bucks on.

(I upped it from 5 lol)

The Vegas leader's stats arent much to write home about.

5 hr .275 and 40 rbi

Its highly highly unlikely. But fun to root for

The Vegas odds have fucking Rocchio higher than SWR. TBH I was kinda surprised Keith is only 10-1.

But ya its gonna be too hard to catch all of Cowser, Langford, Abreu and Raffaela as they all play for pennants. And if all the hitters stay mehhhh

Miller or Gil probably just get it

I guess we will take the split and series win. Keep winning series. But bad day today. Woulda been fine splitting if Sox just had a fluke great game. But we blew ass for 18 innings offensively aside from a couple big swings.

Miranda being human was expected. Saw the down side to his free swinging. Lee looks great but we saw today a bit what can happen with him not taking enough pitches too(massive homer tho).

Buxton and Correa are incredible right now. Buck had horrid luck on two rockets today. Correa is a machine.

When Royce returns the starting nine vs eighties has to be

Lee/Lewis/Castro/Correa/Buck/Wallner/Jeffers/Miranda and Larnch. Kepler rotates in.

Farmer DFA. Kepler on the fringe of being total bench since he cant platoon vs lefties and Wallner/Miranda/Castro/Larnach are simply better. Margot and Santana should literally only play vs lefties. Anything else is negligence.

So, Buxton and Correa are two veteran guys on month long rampages right now. Both with two very different and interesting approaches at the plate that basically defy modern baseball hitting.

Buxton- Has basically said screw it analytics overload and video use and moved to the "see ball hit ball" strategy. Said that too much information was being poured on him about how he should approach ABs

Correa- Said fuck off to air raid pull heavy baseball. He worked with Popkins on hitting grounders more often when realizing defenses don't play him up the middle or to RF. As a result hes it singles in droves for months now. All over the field. Way less DPs because he's not trying to crush everything and pulling grounders right into the D. And even with the approach the power is still there and then some. Crushes balls left up.

Will see if both can keep it up for rest of the year. But very interesting because they are doing things that teams legit do not preach at all anymore.

I didn't realize how few ABs Fry has this year. That with regression hitting has to make him one of the more laughable all star selections ever

Doesn't really have defense to fall back on either, from what I can tell. Not like he is a backup catcher that is legitimately good behind the dish or something.

Speaking of late 20's AAAA (?) dudes producing pretty well, how about Freddy Fermin?

296/340/420 slash line (112 wRC+) with a 1.4 fWAR right now.

Has hit 282/326/435 for his career in 129 games for a 106 wRC+ and a 3.1 fWAR, mostly as a catcher.

So, we're getting some RPM data, and it looks like he's back to where Kris Bubic was last year when it looked like he was breaking out a bit before Tommy John. Slider is back to being pretty violent from an RPM perspective. Very good sign the Royals can get some desperately needed length in their bullpen that can get a high leverage out. If he can hold up and not combust, the Royals are in a good spot to hold on to a WC spot and make a subsequent push, imo. I don't think the Mariners are keeping up, the Rangers are too far behind, and the Astros passing the Royals likely means passing the Mariners anyways in the West. Boston is probably the main threat to outright missing the playoffs, which is hell of a lot better than talking a 100 loss pace or development timelines for young players or marginal players. RPM data is very quick to work with and stabilizes quick for the most part, so even in a 16 inning sample, it's eyepopping.

Will Castro added to all star game at same time Tigers announce Maeda is indefinitely to the pen

Quite the one sided “let go” and “sign” scenarios
