Given his history, I really can't blame the Twins for being cautious. Lee is going to be a fantastic player if he himself can stay healthy.

I have no idea why the Tigers keep pitching Maeda.
Give some young arms a look. The guy is old, sucks and has zero trade value.

They signed him for 2 years
They gave him a 2 year deal. It was why the Twins didn't re-sign him because Detroit went for that second year, essentially bailing the Twins out. They were willing to go low ball on a one year deal, thankfully that didn't happen, because he looks totally cooked.
Yeah but at some point you don't just start a guy because he's under contract, well I guess unless you're the Nats and its Patrick Corbin.
But yeah, if you plan to win ya don't.
Well, the rest of the division hopes that just because he's signed more years, you all keep trotting him out there as a starter.
Or the Twins with Christian Vazquez. GMs hate to admit they made mistakes and crappy ownership hates to pay sunk costs for players that don't work out.
I had a ton of respect for Mike Illich as an owner and I wish any of the Pohlads thought like he did. Chris Illich, his son, not so much.
Chris Illich does not care to win as much as make money.
That's the difference in results to a degree.
He should sell.
That's exactly how the Twins owners think. This is now a 3rd generation of cheapskate douchebags.
You guys have Steinbrenner compared to the Guardians lol.
I dont even care about free agents at this point - just spend something to keep the core together.
10 straight hits for Miranda. Why was he lifted from the game? Defense?
