Given his history, I really can't blame the Twins for being cautious. Lee is going to be a fantastic player if he himself can stay healthy.

Lee looks good so far.

This team is really deep offensively. Barring legit season ending injuries, not sure many IL stints would hurt us a ton.

Have got to get rotation and bullpen depth tho. Both of those are lacking big time. Lose Jax or Lopez/Ryan and we are fucked.

I have no idea why the Tigers keep pitching Maeda.

Give some young arms a look. The guy is old, sucks and has zero trade value.

They gave him a 2 year deal. It was why the Twins didn't re-sign him because Detroit went for that second year, essentially bailing the Twins out. They were willing to go low ball on a one year deal, thankfully that didn't happen, because he looks totally cooked.

Yeah but at some point you don't just start a guy because he's under contract, well I guess unless you're the Nats and its Patrick Corbin.

But yeah, if you plan to win ya don't.

Or the Twins with Christian Vazquez. GMs hate to admit they made mistakes and crappy ownership hates to pay sunk costs for players that don't work out.

I had a ton of respect for Mike Illich as an owner and I wish any of the Pohlads thought like he did. Chris Illich, his son, not so much.

Chris Illich does not care to win as much as make money.

That's the difference in results to a degree.

He should sell.

STeven Kwan hit the min. at bats to qualify yesterday.

.367 avg

next closest is Witt at .319

Kwan also already has a career high in HR at 8....he is 6th in the majors in OPS. He is 3rd in the majors in obp. He plays a gold glove LF.

been a while since the Guardians had 2 starters in the All Star game.

Also- I think everyone knows that if the AL has a lead- the closer will be Clase.

I keep mentioning the Twins offensive depth. But it really is something how so many guys are going on such hot streaks. Some will plateau but its great having options.

Jose Miranda keeps showing his shoulder was clearly the main reason for sucking ass last year. His D will never be good.

But after yesterdays 5/5, he's now at .312 with a .859 OPS and a 141 OPS+. He doesn't have much home run power and doesn't hit the ball real hard, but we see with the Guardians that consistent contact even if light can work. So Im hopeful he can continue to produce(even if not at this clip)

35 Ks in 234 Abs, is always handy

You guys have Steinbrenner compared to the Guardians lol.

I dont even care about free agents at this point - just spend something to keep the core together.

Which is why what your team is doing right now is so impressive. I can't even get mad, you just have to respect it.

10 straight hits for Miranda. Why was he lifted from the game? Defense?
