I guess I get it as thought he'd easily beat him to bag and why risk a throw? Glad it worked out how it did.Pretty stupid considering there was two outs. Great hustle by Naylor. Jose is rubbing off on him

Is the change in Clase as simple as not just going for Ks and become more of a pitcher (one who can throw 100 helps, too, of course)?Pretty crazy Clase and Miller are basically the same age too. Clase has been around for awhile
That’s not what they teach in little league and a throw to first is extremely routine for all these professionals. I could see if he was right next to the bag but the safe play is always at first with two outs.I guess I get it as thought he'd easily beat him to bag and why risk a throw? Could be or like Wiggy said the pitch clock was just making him uncomfortable? IdkIs the change in Clase as simple as not just going for Ks and become more of a pitcher (one who can throw 100 helps, too, of course)?
no disagreement here....though saw it live and at time looked like an easy play at 2nd (Fry has some speed, too, I guess). Great hustle by Naylor. I also think his steps were a little off and he thought he'd get there on his last one but didn't obviously. That’s not what they teach in little league and a throw to first is extremely routine for all these professionals. For him about a 3% and I would bet most of those errors are not on routine plays.
very true...as he also said no way this continues at this rate either. Can only hope when he does have a meltdown later it's just one and doesn't linger like has in past for him.Could be or like Wiggy said the pitch clock was just making him uncomfortable? Idk
I get the Lewis thing---- he is just back- incredibly valuable to you- playing 3 in a row probably not advisable. Could he DH? maybe- but his injury did happen on the basepaths last time- not in the field.Yeah fuck this Org.
We already suck Vs the Yanks. So to try to salavage the series we
Bench Lewis(not even DH).
Bench Buxton who struggles vs velo when playing stroman who doesn’t have velo.
Jeffers sitting while shit ass Vazquez plays a 2nd game vs the yanks catching for López who sucks with him at catcher.
We have Castro playing center instead of Buxton now. Farmer in.
Fucking incredible. People, including Vazquez legit need to be killed.

the obsession with Vazquez is starting to be really weird.
Vazquez goes yard lol
he was never a big K guy--- his cutter is what he throws the vast majority of the time--- and guys just cant square it up. A lot of these closers have k per nine of like 10-12---- he was never guy that--- he was always about a k an inning guy.Is the change in Clase as simple as not just going for Ks and become more of a pitcher (one who can throw 100 helps, too, of course)?
Lopez has already given up 13 hr this year. That is a lot for 71 IP. His ERA now stands at 5.45. If he is going to get to about what his career average is (somewhere around 3.70) he has a lot of work to do. Twins staff as a whole has given up a lot of HR's thus far.Sadly we still got trucked because.....
2023 Lopez
W/Jeffers: 14 Starts, 90 1/3 innings, 2.89 ERA, .604 OPS allowed
W/Vazquez: 18 starts, 103 2/3, 4.25 ERA, .736 OPS allowed
-He also threw 2 gems in the post season. Guess who started every game of post season? Rhetorical.
2024 Lopez(entering tonight)
W/Jeffers: 6 starts, 36 2/3, 2.95 ERA, 6.44 OPS
W/Vazquez: 6 starts, 30 1/3, 7. 12 ERA, .837 OPS
Those stats with Vazquez were before tonights game where he allowed 7 ER in 4 innings. So its gonna get worse
Rocco has to be shot in his face.
