You either trust Peter’s to make the right picks or you don’t . I am not selling long term success for short term gratification

so why cant BA be a long-term answer at Wr? if he is the long term answer at Wr a 2nd and 3rd is nothing.

I disagree . I can solve 2 more positions with the draft picks and pick up the wr without using resources

solve? again draft picks are unknown. I see your point, but you cant fault the team if they bring in BA for a 2nd and 3rd.

I will bet you BA doesn’t get us anymore the 2 wins tops , followed by no way to fix holes in the future . , when the prediction thread comes out I will show the people here why
Board note: The prediction thread will be out within a few days after the preseason finale. I'm looking forward to what everyone has to say about this year's edition of the Washington Commanders.

Who is to say BA isn’t a bust for us ? I
Will absolutely fault them for bringing him in on a trade because its unnecessary at this point in team development

very possible he could bust but you cant fault the team for trying to upgrade. It not necessary to bring in a top WR in the NFL? Sure, we can wait until next year but what if we get bid out in FA for all the top WR's?

And suppose they aren't outbid? the price could go well beyond reasonable as the team "wins" a bidding war. No thanks!

Also, age plays a huge role in all of this... Aiyuk is 26, Higgins 25, and Terry who turns 29 in less than a month is being paid $15,150,000 and will want a new contract before or during the 2025 season. He turns 30 before that last year begins.

i can fault them for giving up resources to address and upgrade when its counterproductive

They just gave up a conditional 7th-round pick for a kicker, what are your thoughts on this apparent move that saw them give up a resource unnecessarily? Isn't that "counterproductive?"

if you look at the trade (and my 1st comments on this i hadnt ) it isnt bad . why ? because its conditional . however we are 2nd on the waiver claim list and york would have been available (or his equal ) so yes it would be a waste of resources . its really simple dont give up resources for a guy you can get anyway (or his equal ) .

What exactly would the Skins be losing in this scenario? That'd be a hellified move if the Skins could pull that off.

If you're supposed to trust Peters when it comes to picks. Doesn't the same principle apply if/when Peters makes a trade?
The last part of the quote says it all . And I am trusting him not to make stupid trades for instant gratification and keeping long term interests in tact

The following is not a political statement:

While I appreciate your conservative tact toward rebuilding the team if AP makes moves in a more aggressive, progressive, and proactive, manner, there's nothing stupid or short-term gratifying about those moves if they immediately improve the team over the long term, correct?
