Gold. Evergreen gold.
It's really content like this that makes all of our society's efforts to innovate worth it.
When the Rats release him, the Browns will sign him to a 5-year 80 Million dollar contract.
Maybe they'll trade Myles Garrett for him, straight up?
At this point, the Browns should consider trading for Garrett. They are stuck paying Watson for two more seasons and this year's QB class is not a homerun. If they were able to move him for some substantial draft assets, they could start over. I suppose they could keep him and hope to hit on a QB, but that path seems difficult.Maybe they'll trade Myles Garrett for him, straight up?

Myles Garrett requests trade from Browns
After G.M. Andrew Berry reiterated that Cleveland has no interest in trading Garrett last week, the star edge rusher has made public his desire to play elsewhere.www.nbcsports.com
Ooh how it continues to be hell to be a Browns fan. You guys could be deep cover spies, you'll never crack under any torture.
A lot of stuff went wrong as a consequence of that deal.I respect Myles wanting to leave. Total disaster with the Watson deal.

But a lot of stuff goes wrong every year because of decisions your FO make. So at least they're consistent.

LOL obviously a type-o but my shocked face is at the comment the Browns getting a franchise QB in the draft.
Ironic that Myles played a big part in landing Watson.I respect Myles wanting to leave. Total disaster with the Watson deal.
They really made hell for themselves with all the restructuring from last offseason to free up cap space.Friend of mine, and former college roommate, is from Cleveland and a Browns fan. I've been telling him since last year - they need to trade anyone worthwhile, stock up on 2025, 2026 draft picks - get out from every major contract - and when they are able to, get out from under the Watson deal.
Use all the picks to build up the team over a year, or two, and then have that team ready when they are able to spend money, add to the team, and land a functional QB. To continue to try and bandaid this situation isn't going to work, nor is it sustainable and likely long-term causes more issues.
Just punt on 2025, get everything you can - and go for the hard-reset button. IMO - it's the only way.
I agree. Sometimes you just need to purge all remnants of an era.... I'd say they should probably also move on from Stefanski as well, even though I truly think he's a good coach. There's just going to be a lot of baggage from the last 5-6 years. The team built a great roster coming out of the rubble of the crap they had when Garrett started, they had some bad luck with Baker getting injured and then underperforming and then they overpaid to find a QB that could lead that talented roster. Didn't work - time to go back to square 1.Friend of mine, and former college roommate, is from Cleveland and a Browns fan.
