Reports are that Boyd turned down a 2yr, $10m offer from the Steelers.
No wonder he's still available. He has an inflated worth of himself. Not that it's anything wrong with that. But he's towards the end of his career.

Interesting tactic for a WR3 in decline given we're on the eve of the draft that is flush with WR talent. He must have enough teams interested that he feels he can get more... Doubt its much more than $1-2m more.No wonder he's still available. He has an inflated worth of himself. Not that it's anything wrong with that. But he's towards the end of his career.
Probably a better move to wait until after the draft. Teams see all that talent in the draf and assume they'll grab their guy at some point, but things change after the draft if you don't have enough talent at the position. Could also wait until injuries start occuring in preseason - I think he's a smart enough receiver to come in and play for a team without an offseason.Interesting tactic for a WR3 in decline given we're on the eve of the draft that is flush with WR talent. Yes and no...teams also are going to have their cap numbers pretty much set in stone by that point. The money left over for injury replacement/etc...is going to be that of backups/bench guys and, well, replacement players. Not every team, of course...but ..Probably a better move to wait until after the draft. It’s true. He said something along the lines of “Caitlin Clark definitely keeps it hairy”Have no idea if this is true. But it sounds like something AB would do.
Caitlin Clark had to block him on social media after he said some rude things about her.
Guess someone misses the spotlight?
I really wanted Murphy. I'm salty they were so close and couldn't land him...I hate how good everyone in the AFCN is at drafting lol. Loved the Mims & Wiggins picks.
But no homerism here, I expected the Steelers to draft Mims even though I had Fautanu rated higher. Did not expect him to fall.
Now I just need the Bengals & Ravens to be idiots for the rest of the draft, mmmkay?
No lies detected. I would have loved to have Mims too. Great talent, just needs a little more refinement. But he's a mountain of a man.I really wanted Murphy. I'm salty they were so close and couldn't land him...
But Mims was #1 on my OT list for that 18 spot. Yes, he's inexperienced. That part doesn't matter as much with the law-firm of Brown&Brown at LT/RT for the year. He's got time. When you put on that tape, even going back to 2022 when he makes his first ever starts in the playoff and Championship game against OSU and TCU - dude is blocking at another level. You can't teach his athleticism, lateral agility, and ability to get to the 2nd level.
He's got, possibly, the highest upside in this draft at OT. Really happy with that pick.
Liked the Fautanu pick for you guys...I know there are rumors some think he could stick at LT...personally, I'd like to see him at G first - and then maybe see if he shows enough to think about OT...no need to really rush that.
Because he's not getting traded. He's got 2 years left on his deal. Not happening. Same with Higgins. With Hendrickson requesting a trade, D-Line was an emergency address. Bengals did well Day 2.
They've done better with their FA's for sure: Brown, Cappa, Karras...than their picks...though if Williams had been moved to RT a few years ago - he'd have been a really solid RT, IMO.Bengals been whiffing on their OL draft picks for 10+ years. I'm gonna remain skeptical.
My "nobody asked for it" opinions on AFCN drafts:
Ravens: I'm big on Wiggins & Isaac. Should be able to contribute right away. They found a lot of good value in mid to late rounds. I wanted the Steelers to take Tampa. Ravens wanted to draft OL early, but 9 were taken before they picked in the 1st Rd alone so they wisely opted to go BPA elsewhere. But that puts a lot of emphasis on Rosengarten being a plug & play guy given the state of their OL. They just lost both starting guards in FA, and traded away their starting RT. Their offense might suffer some consistency issues while their new patchwork OL gels.
Bengals: I like Mims & Jenkins. Big dudes capable of starting right away. Not real big on Burton but time will tell with him. Most his film screams scheme dependent, but he has proved to be a big play guy. He comes into a good situation and should start at either WR2 or WR3, depending on Higgins' situation. Jenkins was one of the best run defenders in college football so he'll instantly provide some relief to a Bengals D that has been hemorrhaging yards to opposing running backs. It bugs me that they drafted 2 TEs when they have Gesicki & Sample. Not sure what to think of that..
Browns: The only impact player I see in year 1 is Hall. But makes sense given their draft capital situation. Zinter could also be considered a starter since he's is a borderline 1st Rd prospect had it not been for an injury. If he's all the way back healthy then they got a steal. With Bitonio & Teller, they can afford to give him time to get back to full health.
For some reason I thought you guys lost Shelby Harris. Just noticed he was re-signed.Not even sure Hall is big impact day 1 but obviously they need to save money somewhere and he makes a DT expendable next year. Zinter is along the same lines with eyes on Bitonio moreso than Teller.
The rest are depth picks...not much you can expect 5th rd and down.
