He is still under contract with the Vikings so I don't what options he as reardless how angry he is with them.

Adrian's son is going find it a real hoot that his father was angry at other people during this time when he grows up.

The NFL tried to suspend him longer. They couldn't legally under the CBA. That is what this ruling is about. It's not because the NFL doesn't care what he did.

His suspensions was overboard IMO.

I'm a Viking fan and I don't think I am being biased there either. I would feel the same way if he played for any other team in the league(well if he played for anyone other than the Packers. If he was a Packer, they should have kicked him out of the league. ).

The guy disciplined his kid. He went overboard in using a switch but that is just how he was raised. IMO a parent has a right to discipline his child as he sees fit within reason....and using a switch is only going overboard because he is a monster of a man. If he was a wimpy punter, what he did was just fine.

All said though, WTF does your kid do (at that age) that you hit him/her that hard with a switch? My mom was hit with a switch as a young girl by her mother, but she was like 10+ lol.

I think Adrian Peterson promised he would just knock his baby's momma out instead of whipping his kid. Goodell quickly agreed to give him half his paycheck for 2014 and reinstate him immediately.

If Peterson wasn't a great player he would have been cut by the Vikings, like the Ravens did to Rice (whose production had fallen off the last two years). There is little difference between the two incidents; they are both terrible. Peterson is just a much better player. There is nothing about being an athlete that should make it so you have to play for a team you don't want to play for or in a city you don't want to be in. But that's the way it is. It led to Barry Sanders leaving the game early. We will see what happens with Peterson.

While others are getting fined, cut and suspended for similar violations.....

Even ignoring the actual incident because I know people fall on different sides of the child abuse versus discipline topic...AP has proven to be nothing but a total dick with the way he has acted since then. It's the Vikings fault there is negativity surrounding you committing a crime against a small child??? I'm not even convinced he is still a top RB personally. I'm hoping he gets the guaranteed $'s he's probably really just is looking for from Minn and moves on and Jerry doesn't get tempted to do something stupid.
