Looks like the signs are pointing to Anthony Poindexter being the next coach at UVA.

Was hoping we would snag him as DC just as an FU to UVA.

Apparently if we get him, I read that there will be a lot of donors willing to fork out some serious cash. And hopefully, it’ll go to improve our conference worst facilities and get something better than the three star recruits that Bronco couldn’t stop getting. I’m just worried that it’ll be another Mike London type dumpster fire that we had to suffer through for six years.

Yea - That's what I have heard as well. Basically the big money at UVA told Carla he was the man and didn't give a second choice. Hope for your sake that they are right. Also understand that had Bronco not left opening this spot up, he was locked in to be our DC. Should be interesting rivalry over the next couple years.

I hadn’t heard the DC part but I wouldn’t have been surprised if he had been let go within the next couple of seasons if we stayed stagnant in the standings.
Weird how this is the second time I believe in six years that Tech, UVA and Miami have all made head coaching changes around the same season.

Rumor is during the interview, he suggested relaxing admission requirements to get better players in the door. When he was shut down, he knew he needed to walk.

I think that’s been a problem for quite a while. Welsh was able to figure things out make them into serious contenders but nobody else we’ve had came remotely close. I think getting those majority three star recruits is what it’s going to be until that and upgraded facilities are in the future.
