The Oakland Raiders have one of the oldest and most unsightly stadiums in the NFL today. However, the Silver and Black might be able to ditch the O.co Coliseum—opened way back in 1966—if they can garner enough support.
According to Matthew Artz of the Oakland Tribune, the Raiders are interested in building a 50,000-seat stadium in Alameda County, which would cost an estimated $800 million. The stadium would reportedly be the smallest in the league if it comes to fruition.
Despite that, there are major concerns regarding the Raiders' ability to pay for it. According to Artz, the Raiders are willing to put up $300 million and also plan to borrow $200 million from the NFL as part of the league's stadium loan program. That leaves $300 million, which would have to come from taxpayers, but it remains to be seen if such a proposal would be accepted.
Councilman Larry Reid admitted that Oakland sports could be in dire straits if a deal doesn't get done, especially with the NBA's Golden State Warriors and MLB's Oakland Athletics potentially looking to move out of Oakland to San Francisco and San Jose, respectively.
He said: "My primary concern is this is a city that always had three major league teams and that now there is the possibility that we will have none."
What should the Raiders do?

Push forward with this new proposal. Continue to play at O.co Coliseum. Try to relocate elsewhere. Submit Vote vote to see results

According to Artz, moving back to Los Angeles is a possibility for the Raiders if they can't strike a deal in Oakland. Currently, there are talks involving a 75,000-seat stadium there.
O.co Coliseum can seat as many as 64,200 fans, but the Raiders were dead last in the league in average attendance last season at just over 54,000 fans per game, according to ESPN. With that in mind, a 50,000-seat stadium would be much easier to fill to capacity, but there are no guarantees that the Raiders will be able to make this work.

Union: Bans will be served in 2014

NEW YORK -- The baseball players' association says any suspensions resulting from the sport's latest drug investigation likely won't be served until next year if the discipline is challenged before an arbitrator.
Union head Michael Weiner says he expects Major League Baseball to notify the union of its plans for penalties in the next month, and the union will maintain that any discipline should not be announced until after arbitrator Fredric Horowitz upholds a ban.

Weiner says that because of the time needed to prepare and hold hearings, the case of any player challenging a penalty won't be decided during this season.

Sucks for Nelly and any other player who is a FA this year.
