Every damn week! Flat footed with a 12 yard cushion, WTF!?
Can Benjamin St. Duche play press man? If I were a D coordinator I would jam receivers at the line. I’ve never understood why you give a receiver a 10+ yard cushion.

This loss is not that big of an issue. We beat the eagles Thursday and we are all but in the playoffs. While we lost, we were the better team. Just not today. This game proves we can play the big boys.

They aren’t going undefeated. This is one of the ones to lose

Ok so its time for him to be benched.
He's giving up the outside even before Mike makes a move. Why????? Why????
Are you going to force him to slant inside??
This makes no sense. Can someone explain to me why he did this with the game almost in hand?

It's a coaching issue and perhaps an offshoot of the way football is played these days. It wasn't that long ago that DBs' were taught to keep everything in front of them, pass defenders were able to backpedal (small cushion) just as fast as WRs could run forward and see the ball. That's the best that I have!

he is the first guy i've seen to get paid to just run up and down with pass catchers. just run, don't defend just run with them.
after watching the tape, he literally sucks

he's on another level of bad. but to see him jump inside and stop with no safety above him, just doesn't make sense.
at any skill level, you NEVER do this, never. please bench him

I've seen it around the league! they all do this stuff and their no way to play the ball because they don't see it coming.

Since we don't know what the defensive call was we don't what leverage he was supposed to play. Should a safety have been closer. That is how Quan got the pick earlier.

If he is supposed to have inside help he should play with outside leverage. If he is on an island he should have inside leverage o so the sideline helps help him. The problem was he just let the guy run past him.

Pittsburgh was clearly targeting St. Juste and Chinn. They got TD passes against both of them.

He gave his guy the streak, gave it to him.
No flowers, no first date just gave it up.
Im looking at the replay like, if he was just on the other side he has a chance to mess up the timing. His leverage was an open invite to a streak

I am not supporting St. Juste. It was terrible technique. As you said he just let the guy run past him without trying to reroute him or impede him, he just turned and ran but was already a step or two behind.

My post was in relation to what type of leverage he should have played. You have to give credit to Wilson too, it was a hell of a throw. Non defender is going to win on every play but IMO he did not play that one well. I mentioned that Pittsburgh picked on both St. Juste and Chinn.

The fix is getting Lattimore back on the field ..... SOON!!

He wasn't in press man so you cannot reroute him after 5 yards. He was almost 12 yards off as he should have been to start the play. He mentioned after the game he "guessed" the wrong route. You are fired BSJ. The "1" thing you don't want to do is let the WR get behind you in that situation regardless of what the call is or where the safety is. It was 3rd & long, time running down and they needed to score. When his cushion became 5 yards or less, open your hips and run but don't give up outside leverage, stand flat footed or "guess" a route because you have help inside from your safety on that side. Everything BSJ did in that moment was wrong and not only should he sit, but his secondary coach should also be questioned as to why that play was defended in such a manner. I'm sure DQ is all over it this week.
Competitive game, tough loss on to the next one.

I can only imagine how bad Forbes sucks. He can't even get on the field.

true, this is the reason for the Latimore trade. gk and others disagree but when Latimore is healthy BSJ should be on the bench. im not sure if the team has totally given up on Forbes yet. Will he get to 2025 training camp?
