This has to be against NFL policy, so is it a 2 or 4 game suspension.

Some of these jokes are really funny, and I never liked the guy (or his dumb celebration) when he was on the team, but it's still sad. May God have mercy on his soul.

Yeah, more than a few people seem downright gleeful about this

I mean, one less burden on our tax system, so that's great.

I guess my question is, why did it take him this long to do it? He knew he wasn't getting out, right?

I feel and it's just a suspicion after seeing his daughter one last time may have done it, I also suspect it was known by the fiance which is why the little girl was there. Perhaps he wanted his little girls last image of him to be in a suit and tie and not a jumpsuit. Perhaps the guilt of what he has done and how his decisions affect his little girls life were all to much for him, I believe they share the same birthday. He knew his life was over, he could do nothing for her and there was nothing really left to live for.

Why mercy? I hope he rots in hell.

Just speculating, but I would think there is something somewhat interesting as an inmate to be going to trial every day, watching the proceedings, seeing your wife and kid....but with that over, and all your looking at is your jail cell for the next 20 years, it would be enough. And you gotta figure that the money was down, and no real money for additional appeals.
