I'm with you on baseball. I root for the Mariners and enjoyed seeing them take some steps forward last seaosn, but at the end of the day I really just don't care about Major League Baseball.

Even though the MLS is nothing compared to the European leagues I do enjoy it, especially now that Seattle has a team. Haven't been to a Sounders game yet but I plan to at some point.

I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who seem to believe that Hawk fans just somehow appeared in the last couple years. As if the 80s never happened (remember "The Kingdome Rule"?) or the Clink hasn't been sold out for every game for about a decade.

Sure, the city got quiet during the Behring years in the 90s. I'll admit it. Only the hardest of the hard core were still rabid fans. But when you're owner is trying to Major League your team out of town and doing everything in his power to alienate the fan base, that's going to happen.
