3 outta 4 from KC before the all star break. Not bad Tigers. Now the AL has to win the AS game so that Detroit can have home field advantage in the WS. Go Tigers
Oh, yeah?? Well, the good teams are starting to dry up on the schedule for them to pick on -- you just wait til they start playing those under .500 teams again, and we'll see what happens haha

This isn't just Doug talking, I heard it from some baseball broadcasters, too ... that in a matter of a month, the Royals may have gone from buyers to sellers at the deadline. I'm thinking they still have a shot. They'll have to get hot like they did last year after the break, and hope the Tigers don't do the same. I'm certainly not all-cozy with a 6.5 game lead in mid-July.
Did! He's not going to again though. Can't get nostalgic with a no power DH. It might not make sense for me, a lifelong Tigers fan, to be bothered by it so much, but it does. I want the Central as a whole to be better is all.
You have nothing we would want first of all...
You realize we have plenty of prospects with the tools to replace holes, right? We aren't the A's with a pitiable farm...
You should re-phrase that and say Detroit doesn't have anything KC could afford to take on in trade.
About the only guy KC would want and could afford to make a deal for is Castellanos (Payroll wise) and Detroit isn't trading him.
I think they see a WC spot more than the division at this point. No reason at all to sell when they are 2.5 games behind a playoff spot. They didn't sell last year when the team had much less talent and a pitcher (Santana) who wasn't going to resign. If anything, they will do nothing regardless of how bad they are.
While it is a nice thought, it isn't very likely KC sells given Dayton Moore's stubbornness and the proximity to a playoff spot.
Castellanos is nice but redundant. They have another 3B prospect in the top 40 prospects who is probably on the team at some point next year.
My comment was more geared towards the Tigers farm system anyways.
I have a feeling you hated sean casey.
He played a position though. (Remember when he got thrown out at first by a leftfielder?)
Wade Davis for JD Martinez could be mutually beneficial. (I honestly hope you're buyers not sellers.)
wow, that wouldn't be that bad...Davis (and his 5 mil) or Crow or Herrera but you just know Det/KC trade will not happen.
