Tigers going for the sweep in KC today. Royals after the butt whipping the tigers have handed out fall to 7 1/2 games behind...soon to be 8 1/2.

Verlander razor sharp through 3 soon far.

Tigers cracking heads...with out V Mart in the line up last 2 weeks!!!!

Oh, yeah?? Well, the good teams are starting to dry up on the schedule for them to pick on -- you just wait til they start playing those under .500 teams again, and we'll see what happens haha

Three straight hits..... Good thing Butler got the first of the trio. Hoping he doesn't score on the fourth one either.

Terrible decision by Kinsler. Took them out if a double play situation. And finally....... Brad comes out to get JV. Should have brought Kroll in to strikeout Ibanez. Same old story.

Needed that win to lick our wounds during the break. The team has no replacement for Gordon in the lineup or in the field.

I think if KC had one big bat to put in the middle of their lineup -- they would be light years better.

They just don't have a bat that scares opposing pitchers. They have a great mix of speed, defensive and gap hitters. A big bat in the middle of the order would make that lineup look completely different.

Do KC have any young power hitters in the minors?

They do actually. Bonifacio is profiled as having solid power tools but is currently struggling in AA. They have Dozier (No 39 in BA's new list) who is more of the patient Linedrive hitter with some power. Mondesi has more tools than Escobar all around including power, but he is years away. I strongly suspect when and if they trade Holland this offseason this payroll, they will get a power hitting prospect that will eventually be ranked 40-60 at the time of the trade.

KC's farm has a lot more intriguing pitching than stud hitters. While there is "some" power in the system, there isn't a whole ton of it and it isn't coming in 2015. In the meantime, Royals fans will be in the seemingly never ending loop of "when do X,Y, and Z hitters get their shit together?"

Billy's 29 must have been a fluke, Hosmers 20 seems like a peak. Perez could be a 30 guy and was finally IBBed, lol.

They will when they send Moose back down.
