Torii Hunter should retire.
every time the Tigers get some thing going....he comes up to the plate. always swinging at the first pitch. always grounding out to kill a inning. he sucks!

he also rates as one of the worst defensive outfielders this year.

He's had a very nice career though.

He might have, idk. But I think Vargas, Shields, Kluber and Phil Hughes all have better run support than he does this year.

Scherzer's ranked 31st in ESPN's run support average stat. Verlander and Porcello are ahead of him (t-24th and 26th respectively). Jesse Chavez leads the league by a pretty good margin (6.06, Scott Kazmir, Tommy Milone, and Marco Estrada are all tied for 2nd at 5.50).

Hunter butchered that play in the out field against the red sox in the ALCS last year. should have caught it just over the wall

I know he hit some balls hard, but how does Miguel Cabrera go 0-for-the series against the friggn' Astros???

And Victor had all of one hit -- a shift-beating grounder for a single. The Tigers can't have both of these guys scuffling at the same time.

Shit happens. Pedro Martinez gave up 9 runs (8 earned) on 12 hits against the Marlins in 1999. The Marlins finished last in the NL in runs scored and OPS. Pedro had a 2.07 ERA that year. David Cone had the 2nd best ERA in the AL... at 3.44.

Funny how things have swung back towards pitching and defense lately...

Wow, the Royals signed Raul Ibanez and called up the now Utility man prospect Christian Colon. I kind of liked Ciriaco as a guy go run off the bench.

Welcome back, Ibanez.

I was screaming at Ausmus to get Avila off the bases, then I was just screaming. Didn't see that coming. (Tigers do love hitting walk offs at Comerica off Oaklands closers.)

So, after Stripper/Trashdickgate involving Bruce Chen and Yordano Ventura, the Royals clubhouse plays "I Luv Dem Strippers" by 2 Chainz.

In other amusing news. The tweet "I no pay 100 Dollar @RealHos35" by Ventura seems incredibly funny all of the sudden.
