The kid is the real deal.
I can see him starting game 2 of the WS
with Verlander winning game 1.

Fulmer gives up 2 runs = breaking one off
Salazar gives up 2 runs = rough outing

I agree. I can't wait to see him on the Red Sox in a few years.

Kudos to doug for guessing right on Fulmer. Too bad Fulmer didn't get a win.

Fulmer at 143 innings (not counting 15 minor league innings). Should he be written in for 4 more starts this season?

Seriously, if I was Ilitich, I'd insist on it, provided they stay in it and he pitches like he did tonight.
I wouldn't doubt it goes down like that. Mr. I has been throwing around money for over a decade in Win Now mode.

Hard to imagine the old Tiger changing his stripes at 87, or whatever he is.(On a similar note, iffy's streak ended at 4. On posts concerning what Doug thinks) Burning out Bondermans arm at a young age gets forgotten after all the big name arms have swung thru the organization.

Fulmer only needs 19 more innings now to qualify for the ERA title. And sadly, I don't doubt that could be a factor if his number doesn't swell.

If Zim looks like a major league starter, I'll still prefer Fulmer in the pen. But I also prefer Iggy at third and Aybar at short. Maybin leading off and Kinsler hitting second. And Ausmus has yet to give a fuck what I think.

Then, I'd also have to "sign him on" to any post-season starts that would appear (see doug's post above :) ). Couldn't very well run him to the end of the season, then drop him from any playoff starts.

Now if I was an Indian, Royals, White Sox fan....putting extra stress on a valuable young arm of the Tiger's future, might not be all that bad of a scenario?????
