Doug...I've got a semantics question for you. (Google 'semantics' for its definition. I'll wait..............)

If the Tigers are "steamrolling"...what term do you use to describe what the Cubs, Rangers, and even the Nationals are doing in their divisions? If you are capable of "steamrolling" and still be 5.5 games out of first...there must be another term for what those teams are doing?

(If the question is too difficult...Ned Flanders will be here eventually. Ask him.)

I'm sure you also had those games against the Royals in September 2009 penciled in as wins. Surely the Tigers held onto the division that year.

If Kluber and Verlander keep their paces, they'll finish 1 and 2, the order depending on which team wins the division.

A couple of great players, no doubt. I dislike them, but you can't discredit their on field play.

JV will need plenty of help from the rest of the rotation to catch Cleveland. 4.5 games and he's only going to start 5 or 6 more times.

Tigers didn't pounce enough on Sale today. He was shaky early, but had a helluva start once he was out of the first.

Verlander's will end up with 175ish wins to start next year as a 34 year old.

Either he's gotta get a couple more Cy's under his belt (a la Pedro) or have some big win seasons, both of which are doubtful for a guy his age.
