He actually used two excuses.

Yep. And as far as the injury excuse, no one feels badly for a $200MM+ team with no depth.

The Indians' best hitter has been out all but eleven games. Their 2nd best pitcher had a DL stint. Their starting catcher will miss half the season (doesn't hurt the offense, but what about the pitching). Yet somehow the Indians have the depth to be six games ahead of the Tigers on nearly half of the Tigers' payroll.

These Tribe fans won't be talking trash about the Tigers when Pelfrey returns and Maybin and Iglesias start 5 more games, between minor injuries, come September.

Maybe it has something to do with heart?

Might have more to do with a starting outfield (today's) that include the names Andrew Romine and Alex Presley.
Was talking about Cleveland, but like that asshole from Cleveland said Tigers don't get to bitch that they're fielding AA'ers in the OF when they have the 4th highest payroll in baseball. The Jays have been dealing with OF injuries all year and they had the depth (Zeke, Lake, Ceciliani, now Upton) to soften the blow and their payroll is $60 mil less than Detroit's.

If teams' fortunes were determined by their outfields, the Indians would be fucked. After all:
Dude.. the Indians offense is going to suck major dick. Outside of an injured Brantley and Lindor.. everyone else is pretty average. Your corner outfielders are poop.

I know that dipshit.. but the person that was going to play CF might shift over to LF (Davis). The entire Indian's outfield is comparable to a cat turd that has been stepped on without Brantley.

Seriously slinky.. the Indians outfield is garbage.

You don't know much about baseball if you are comparing the Tigers 2016 pitching to the 2016 Indians outfield that is littered with bums.

HAAHHAHHAAHHA Who the fuck is Abraham Almonte... oh wait.. he was some turd that the Indians had in starting in CF ahahahhaahahaahahah. Fuck the Indians outfield is going to suck ass to start the season... not even the cheek... its going to suck the o ring. Seriously...

Your outfield sucks wang.

Can you post a stat showing the indians outfield isn't going to suck ass?

The Indians outfield defense is a huge question... And their catcher and 1st base are far from amazing either.

The Tigers do have a boatload of injuries, but there is still no reason a lineup that includes Ian Kinsler, Miguel Cabrera (2 games), Victor Martinez, J.D. Martinez and Justin Upton should score 3 runs in a 3-game series and go oh-fer with RISP. (All 3 runs scored on solo homers.)

Yes, but Justin (Tigers are My Bitch) Upton is 1-31 recently.

The Upton boys have totaled 270 K's so far this season. Justin 140. BJ/Melvin 130

I wouldn't be shocked if 100 of Melvin's have been since he was traded.

To be fair though, been a bit better lately. Revere started off shit after being traded here last year too but he improved as the weeks went by before being a waste of space in the playoffs.
