Y in the world would lucroy veto a trade to a World Series contender

I glad it happened, but I don't understand it. This appears (on its face) to be a silly move. If its all about money, I don't have as much respect for him.

As far as Cleveland making moves to insure a playoff spot, I like their going for it (not as a Tiger fan). Detroit has some people (JD Martinez, Zimmerman and Norris) coming back from the DL that should make an impact. With Lucroy and Miller traded for and Brantley coming back, I would give the edge to the Indians. Without Lucroy, I would give the edge to the Tigers.

We still have to learn to beat the Indians or we are setting up tee times in October.

Here's a quote from Lucroy from the offseason:

"I want to win and I don't see us winning in the foreseeable future. I want to go to a World Series. That's what all players want. Rebuilding is not a lot of fun for any veteran guy," he said.

What a clown. Fuck him. I hope he ends up on a pile of shit like the Tigers.

It's like Dougplayer learned to form complete sentences and use punctuation.

The Atlanta Braves had an interest in Lucroy. The Brewers could "break one off" on Lucroy by sending him there.

I'd assume they're not real happy with him at this point. They were getting a nice package of prospects from Cleveland.

Lucroy has a limited no trade clause - 6 teams, I think. And the Braves aren't on the list.

Just a guess...but I think Lucroy is just trying to squeeze some money out of Cleveland

If Lucroy is trying to parlay the trade into a contract extension, I can't really fault him for it.

I'm more curious as to why a catcher on a contract with an average annual value of $2.2 million has any sort of NTC whatsoever.

I agree. I'm just emotional about it right now. I woke this morning and it was like Christmas in July, then this fucking twat bubble comes in and breaks my favorite gift.

He's got some leverage to increase his pay and from a pragmatic perspective, I can't begrudge him for that. As an emotion fan with pride in NE Ohio, I say fuck him right in the pussy.

Because the Brewers are fucking stupid.
