Indians signed outfielder Will Venable today. He is 33, so I am not sure if he comes in under the "old as fuck" rule that was established earlier in this thread. Since Venable's signing was to a minor league deal....this will NOT likely challenge the great JUAN URIBE debate of '16.

Once Brantley is healthy, I'd rank Venable as their 5th outfielder. That puts him on a par with Tyler Collins or Steven Moya. In a WS situation...I'd go with Venable. In a Sunday soft-ball pickup game...I'd go with Moya.

Just curious... If the Indians were to have a major injury in their rotation...and the team vastly underperforms expectations... do you think its possible their attendance actually gets worse this year than it was last year? I mean... last year's attendance was pretty fucking bad.

The Indians have recently been tied to Austin Jackson but were said recently to be done spending on Major League free agents with their payroll nearly maxed out. Almonte’s suspension won’t provide Cleveland with any sort of financial relief, as he is not yet arbitration-eligible, but one has to wonder whether his absence will motivate the team to take some action on the free agent market.
