I am at work, so I haven't seen it, but from how Miller described it, it sounds like Blanco was not even close to the plate when the blockage occurred. Technically, by the letter of the rule, he was safe, but that kind of call could really open Pandora's box.

Agreed on Belisario, I really wonder if he'll ever pitch again, this year has just exposed the poor guy.

And yes the rule obviously needs work and a play like that will be part of how it gets fixed.

I kind of agree, and plays like today will help them look at the rule to make it better.

It's a bit of a stretch to say it has damaged our nation, however.
