Better batting average than before, so technically it is working. How well its working is another matter.

Yes, I suppose going from .146 to .212 is almost a 50% increase, so yes, the new batting approach is working fantastically well!

Might as well recognize how they create the opportunities as well. And, yes, I'm aware that pitchers regularly give up hits and walks. But our staff has been doing that at a higher rate than most this year. The team WHIP ranks 21st in MLB.

Watson threw 18 pitches yesterday. They have leaned heavily on him, I agree. But he's got to get one our here to preserve the tie. Then if (when) the Giants' don't score in the bottom of the inning, bring in Blach to start a clean inning.
