Went to an ECHL Florida Everblades playoff game a couple of years ago and started yelling, "sucks" as each member of the opposing team's starting lineup was announced. Most people just looked at me like I was nuts. One other guy, must have been a Philly transplant, did quickly join in.

Nashville Predators fans taunt Penguins goalie with 'You suck' chants

How funny was this from the game Saturday night.

Well, it's not surprising. This is the only arena that I know of where they actually say "HEY, YOU SUCK!!!" (or anything similar) during their goal celebrations.

It's definitely pretty annoying as a fan of the visiting team. Just a little too redneck for me I guess...Lol

Lol Uh, NJ and Philly are bitter rivals, so yes, you'll be competing against each other directly very soon...

So, this may not be an official competition yet, but it will be. These guys may know and like each other now, but that may not be the case in a few years.

I'm glad the Devils aren't just one piece away and we are in better position to take advantage of this windfall.

I think having the highest jump ever in Nhl draft lottery history was justified for us given how we were the first team ever to win 10 straight and miss the playoffs. A lot of very unfortunate moments that we witnessed throughout the season led to our below average finishing position and this goes a long way toward making up for it. Also, we didn't tank to get this. We kept playing til the bitter end with an 8-3-2 record in the last 13 games to close out the season.

Catching up on things..

1. Would love a trade to steal a young Stan from someone.
2. I really think they protect Stolarz. I swear Hextall essential said that at one point. But nobody talks about that anymore.
3. Not a big Carchidi fan. Definitely seems to be pretty connected, but he's such a drama queen.

I have to think Hextall will protect Stolarz? He would have to, no? Cap saving and Stolarz seems to be grooming pretty well in a solidified NHL goaltender.

It's a series now for sure. You might say that Nashville has looked like the bigger, stronger and faster team in at least three of the games to date. You wouldn't be wrong either. Crosby is starting to look a lot like LeBron with the whole best player in his sport, but not enough help deal. Yes, both of these guys have championships, but also both not near as many as expected.
