I watched the end of the Panthers Bruins game last night

As the final horn went there was a huge scrum and the Bruins looked pissed

I was thinking Florida shouldnt have poked the bear. Maybe its not anything but I bet the Bruins would love to be the reason they miss

I saw that too and I agree, but Boston might have nothing to play for by Sunday. So, would they play all of their best players in the second half of a back to back just to eliminate Florida when they have nothing else to gain?

A coach thinking about winning a Cup would probably just rest all of his key players.

Given that we have their 1st round pick this season and they were expected to do far better, it's relevant to us regardless.

Again, you compare two players in two completely different situations as if everything is equal.

Put Schenn on our 4th line, scratch him 20 times and give him 10 minutes per game. Then, tell me how many points he has.

Put Lehtera between Tarasenko and Schwartz for 20 minutes per night, plus top power play unit time and get back at me.

The more stats you put up from the two of them, the more idiotic you look...Lol

Schenn would be good to have of course for more scoring depth

However flipping him in this age for 2 first round picks was nothing short of amazing.

Grabbing Frost and having a 2nd first rounder this offseason is just going to bolster an already amazing farm system

Im all about having as much scoring and depth as possible though. Especially in the playoffs. So this trade was made by a bigger picture seeking Hextall and I understand it 100%

Filppula has 33 points. I bet Schenn wouldn't have topped 40 or 45 on the very same line with the very same opportunies (few).

If you could plug a guy into our 3rd or 4th line and have him score 67 points, we probably would be Cup contenders, but players on those lines do not score at that rate because they do not get enough ice or enough talent around them to do it. That's the whole point here.

You seem to think that when a guy scores points for one team, he could do the same for any other team...Lol

Schenn had 6 seasons here and never topped 59 points, despite time on the top power play unit and with some of our best players.
