That may bode well for us down the stretch. Less travel means more rest when it counts.

And a better opportunity to move up the standings, if necessary, at that time.

Crawford gets the 2 for the Hawks. Tough game. Thought they played pretty well, aside from the nasty rebound from Elliot on the 1st goal.

Not much to say. Crawford was good, but we just didn't get the bounces to go our way. We probably had at least a dozen A-quality chances (including half a dozen breakaways) and none of them resulted in a goal. That's just bad luck, if anything. We also continue to have more penalties called on us than we can draw, which is also very unfortunate considering how fast we played.

I really don't know what to do if Gudas is seriously hurt, but Hagg, Sanheim and Alt all made some solid plays last night and Provorov continues to be a beast, playing nearly 30 minutes.

All in all, it may sound silly to say this given the result, but we played very well in this game. Easily could've been 6-2 Flyers. I mean really easily.

We looked very quick and fast, the passes were sharp and we were constantly looking to break up ice and get the odd-man rush. Amazingly, none of them cashed in.

Yeah, this is getting bad. The good news is that while we may lose a few games, our young defenders are going to get some serious on the job training. We all wish Morin were part of that group too, but he apparently did not disclose all of his injuries before called upon.
