It was a tough spot but he really needed to stay in his spot and just drill a throw to the slot receiver crossing

So is Brock Purdy but he often gets to throw to wide open receivera

Exactly right. Although it is possible that Geno is incapable of adjusting at the line as well

Geno. No adjustments. If the play call isn’t sufficient for a blitz change the play. Don’t run the play right into the defenses advantage. If he isn’t even trusted enough to have the ability to audible then he isn’t starter quality. He stares the blitz down and then appears shocked the blitz comes. It’s a complete failure to process the situation.
