Honestly before this all went down.
I think Aiyuk is the best "Wide Receiver" on the team. I understand Deebo has the worth of being a swiss Army knife, but as a WR Aiyuk is better.
Also I figured this might be Deebo last year with the Niners, & Aiyuk would be the main target from the WR position. Deebo is beat up & constantly had nagging ding ups last season. That only gets worse as the receiver gets older. If Deebo stays healthy this season & doesnt pull the same hold out move. He could stay for 2 years. Dont see him as a Niner past that no matter what.
Gonna be interesting if the niners goes from Aiyuk & Deebo to having neither next year (or the next)

Always figured it would be a seamless transition from Deebo to Aiyuk. Well Aiyuk threw a monkey wrench into that plan!
if they get offered a number 1,it,s hard to see them turning it down.

Walk? As in tell him this year, "you play for us this year or sit" then let him or walk or do you mean trade him now?

If he'll play keep him. If he wont, trade him to the Pats who will prob. give up a 1st rounder and then you prob. have a top 10 pick.

who is the WR? was it in the 1st couple rds?

It was their 1st rounder - 31st overall (since they lost the SBOWL - someone correct me if wrong). Ricky Pearsall. He's a fast guy, but not a lot of twitch or acceleration from what I read - little diff. than Aiyuk. But he's someone that can stretch the field which allows Deebo/Kittle/CMAC to do what they do...

Pearsall should be a very solid #3 WR for someone
Could be. You never know with rookies. That is why the risk is there with trading Aiyuk. I would trust the Niners FO with WR's but no guarantee

Highly doubt SF is getting a 1st for him and definitely not the NE's 1st.

Oh, I get what you're saying. Aiyuk is only 2.5 years older than Pearsall and has over 4,000 yards and 27 TDs in the league. I'm by no means suggesting Aiyuk is just a #3 WR. He is probably a #1 WR on about half the league

Disagree. Gotta remember the 49ers spent a 1st rounder (in the 20s I think) on Aiyuk... and he's certainly lived up to it and is coming into the best years of his career. I know you gotta pay him but the Pats have a ton of cap given Brisket (yes I know the SP is incorrect but I refuse to spell it correctly) and Judon are likely gone next year which is an immediate free up of like $20M more...

I would imagine SF is looking for a 1st+ at this point. And I think the Pats will give them a 2025 1st and 2026 2nd.

I didn’t realize how slow Bourne was. He was like a 4.6+ guy coming out of college.

Yeah so…if the Niners traded him before the draft I would agree. I believe they value players more than picks. They will likely get both but they are going for a SB this year. Draft picks are great but that ship has sailed for the ‘24 draft.

Pats will have to be desperate to give up a 1st, 2nd, Bourne and paying Aiyuk top 5 money. I don’t SF getting that much.

I would be very surprised if they get a 1st

I mean fair.... but I could see the Pats doing something stupid... their HC is an idiot and they just went all in on a QB... gone are the days of the Pats being smart.
