George Sprigner (out 6 weeks)
Freddie Freeman (out 5-plus weeks)
Jacoby Ellsbury (has been out for mover 5 weeks, coming back)
Zack Cozart (was having a great year, then tore...I think every ligament in his knee)

Wow I missed the whole Strausberg injury because of this time argument. Too bad for them. That kid continues to struggle with injuries.

Good pitcher, but not HOF-worthy.

As a pitching coach, it will never happen, but he would be on the short-list of potentials.

Combined he has earned it. Kruk has talk=ed about this before. The HOF does not reconise coach's at all which is a shame.

I hope you guys don't mind me posting here, but I wanted to share this story with you all from last night.

Not at all. We welcome viewpoints from "the other side". This is a great board and (on balance) full of great insight. You seem like a very decent person, not the trash-talking type. Persistent negative karma will be dealt with by our fine moderators.

Nice story about the ball, and good insight about the starting time. We wouldn't get that from our regulars. Thanks.

I am not a fan of the "combined" argument, but I get it.

Coaches are lower on the list than middle-relievers or DHs when it comes to the HOF. The argument (and somewhat legitimately) is that if he were that great, he would be a manager. If he IS that great, but chooses to remain a pitching coach instead, he is choosing the more relaxed job, and sacrificing the elite accolades.

No HOF for you!

That KCya BS was the type of performace that happens on 0-6 road trips. That's what it felt like at the time and NOTHING has changed.

Fucking shitshow. AWFUL, AWFUL pitching from our ace, and the bats are doing NOTHING. Strasburg was pitching like shit this year and Bum was pitching like an ace. Wouldn't know it from this game. Now, with Stras hurt, its Roarke who will shut us down the rest of the way, and YIPEE, we get Zimm tomorrow.

I hate baseball.
