When the same team weeknesses shows up time after time, I can’t tip my cap to the opposition. The Giants hitters have not earned the right to point to the other team and say “hay. They are pros too!” If a team roughs up our pitchers, I am willing to tip my cap or shrug off the game as a fluke. But when we practically get no-hit, that is on us, not them.
