eh... he knows he's on his last year of his contract with me. Been grooming Panik since last season. Plus, I'm pretty sure he saw me lose my ever lovin' mind when he came out to warm up last Thursday. I was four rows back and didn't see him until he was on the bullpen mound and I almost squeezed the life out of my friend when it registered. He knows where my heart lies.

I am not sure what to make of this offense this year. Is this a reflection on the DBacks pitching (and park), or is this team going to be OK offensively?

It's way too soon to tell and it's part pitching and park, but it's nice to see that the guys are at least doing what the optimistic take would have them do: Aoki a solid leadoff guy, Posey with some pop, etc. And our 2 middle of the order guys hurt too. We aren't going to lead the NL in runs scored this year, but if we can be middle to upper middle of the pack and the pitching holds up, we can be a wild card team.
