@Arizona_Sting My lineup:
  • PG - Reggie Jackson
  • SG - Khris Middleton
  • SF - Matt Barnes
  • PF - Zach Randolph
  • C - Nikola Jokic
  • Sixth Man - Gary Harris
My team has youth, talent, intangibles, and perhaps most importantly, could win a street fight with anyone with the presence of Randolph and Barnes...

He problem is NO is not AD. THey have a terrible mix of guards that don't fit each other. Holliday and Davis are a good pair, but Evans is an overrated ball stopper who does not fit the roster.

LOL Evans has hardly even played this year. I this you're greatly overrating Holiday here...

He is inefficient and he does not defend that well.

He is not a bad PG, but certainly not a cornerstone player. I take Jrue Holiday all day over Jackson, and I got him in the third round.

You are criticizing Shane's PG, but neglecting to consider that he also has Anthony Davis, Bradley Beal and Pau Gasol. If you asked everyone on here who is off to the better start with their first 5 picks between you and Shane, I bet at least 90% would pick Shane, and maybe 100%.

Reggie Jackson vs. Rose:

Jackson better FG%, better 3PT%, better assist/turnover ratio, better scoring average, considerably better PER, and now most recently, a better team record. Interesting logic to say the least that Jackson is only "marginally" better than Rose. Any argument in favor of Rose is entirely based on "if".

You can now quit sucking up to the college football schmo who only follows the NBA because of his man crush on LeBron James (@Shanemansj13 )

LOL @ Reggie in the 1st round.

And I can't believe I'm being trash-talked by that said college football schmo that only follows the NBA for his man crush on LeBron James.

If you could find a better cornerstone player at pick #24 than Reggie Jackson, I'm all ears, but for now you're just all talk. Not much a surprise.

Oh yeah, and college football is not a real sport. These dumb kids aren't worthy of the hype that comes to them, especially today during the twitter generation. Yep, I really just said that.

Finally added a shooter to my team in Joe Johnson, but he's aging. :( Not sure my team is all that great anymore.

Are you really comparing him to Rose, who is not half the player he used to be but still only averages less than 3 ppg less than Jackson. His efficiency has never been great and his 3PT% has also never been great---only 30% for his career. The fact is Rose has always been that type of player even when he was great, his efficiency was a little better though. It also has to do with Butler having the ball more and becoming the star of the team.

The bottomline is you took Reggie in the 1st round and I took Rose in the late 4th round. And Reggie does not have that value and honestly he isn't a whole lot better than Rose, except for his 3pt shooting, which we all know hasn't ever been a strong point of DRose's game.

Also, I would like to point out that DRose has limited his attempts from 3 and I think that is definitely a smart decision. Now that efficiency isn't good, but when he is a 4th option on a team his skills can really change some games and he could be a factor as a 4th option as well.

College football is not a real sport :L :L :L

And yes, I could find a handful of players I wouldn't have drafted before Reggie at that spot. I'm not trying to dog your team but he is not a star or close to it at any aspect of the game.

@jwolt92

Nice pick. I was debating between Taj and Burks. Was leaning towards Burks because he's another scorer for me off the bench, able to handle some point, 6'6" athlete, who's shooting over 38% from 3. I can use Barnes as my stretch 4 later on too much like the Warriors do right now.

I had Burks right there at the top of my list. He is quietly a very good guard. Nice pick

I had to go with Taj. I've got a very small team so some boards off the bench and some defensive help from the 6th man was my best bet. Plus he's now my oldest player so a little vet leadership from a guy who's been to the playoffs nearly every year he's been a pro

I don't think I am. His efficiency stats are solid, he has good size for a PG, he can shoot and create for others. If he were my best player, it would not be good enough. As my 3rd best, he will fill his role just fine for my team.

Also, I never said Rose was as good as Jackson. Just that you should not be slamming the Rose pick in the 4th round, when your Jackson pick was a serious reach.

Yeah W. Chandler and Burks were both on my radar. I wanted some wing flexibility and another scorer off the bench. I thought Chandler was more versatile being 6'8" and able to guard 2-4, but Burks is able to handle 1-3 for me off the bench. He's also a much better 3 point shooter, ball handler and gets to the rim very well. Thanks for not drafting him!

:lol:
