Our leading point getter with 13 is tied for 54th in the league.

Jake and Ghost both have 13 points each. WTF!!

You can do the same comparison with Carter Hart, except you marvel at how young he still is.

This kid was 53rd in save percentage last season with an .877, or dead last.

He was 53rd in goals against average with a 3.67, also dead last.

This season to date: .935 sv% (6th) and 2.19 gaa (9th)

Still only just turned 23 years old.

"I've really liked this young man, a young man that basically didn't play hockey last year and comes here this year with a real strong training camp, caught our attention with his skating ability, the fact that he comes in and plays hard," Vigneault said. "For us, when I was looking at the competition that was going through camp for that seventh spot, he definitely caught our attention. And like I mentioned at training camp, your seventh defenseman is going to play 50, 60 games just by how things unfold during a season. He's been good for us."

Not a surprise as with us last year he was 7th best in the league last year for goals by a defenseman.

Only playing 41 games and having 9 goals probably would put him in top 5 in GPG

PP1: Claude Giroux (left circle), Joel Farabee (bumper), Derick Brassard (right side), Konecny (net-front), Ivan Provorov (point).

PP2: Kevin Hayes (left side), Konecny (bumper), James van Riemsdyk (net-front), Sean Couturier (right side), Keith Yandle (point).

How could any team be scared of our PP with Brassard on our top PP unit?
I don’t get TK net front. He just gets pushed around

Broussard on PP1 says to me Thierien is grasping at straws. He doesn’t know what to do. How can Atkinson not play any PP?

Tough game, but obviously very entertaining, especially the overtime. We didn't play well enough in the first two periods, but managed to still be tied thanks to great goaltending, an early, dazzling breakaway goal by Giroux and a snipe by Konecny. Completely dominated the 3rd period to no avail, then Stamkos snuck one through Hart at a very bad angle with about two minutes remaining. Obviously it's a weak goal by Hart, but I won't let it stain all of his incredible work to date. The dude is still locked-in, nobody is perfect. So, it was game over until Giroux sniped the equalizer through traffic with the goalie pulled and only 9 seconds remaining. The overtime was spectacular and we probably should've taken it there. Obviously the shootout is a giant buzzkill following that. Tampa has arguably the best shootout goalie and best shooter. If there were a playoffs for shootouts, they would probably win that Cup too.
