Sanheim signed. 2x4.675. If they go with a 22 man roster, they’re good. But that’s awfully tight.

2 years takes Sanheim to UFA.

This season is massive for the Flyers. With Couturier and Giroux UFA at the end of the year, Farabee RFA and Sanheim only signed for 2. The cap picture gets pretty bleak pretty fast.
The money is probably closer to what Sanheim wanted than what the Flyers wanted to give up.

So, why take him to arbitration and then settle on both price and contract length? I'm under the impression he would've got less money on the 26th.

Why do we want him for only two seasons? If we're going to let him walk soon, why not just trade him? Maybe that's the objective, idk, pump up his value as much as possible and then ship him away.

I just don't understand exactly what Fletcher did here with the Hart and Sanheim signings...

We can pretty much forget about making a deadline deal if we are in contention this coming season because there's simply not enough cap space to make it work...Lol

A lot of eggs for only 1 basket.

My typing was done in the dark so my post
Another aging vet to clear cap space?
My typing was done in the dark so my post didnt make sense. My question should be : Besides Zamula and Frost which other young player should we follow during camp who can possibly play with the big club this season?

Looking at it, that dude Bunnyman will probably get called up more than any of the youngsters unfortunately, dude has been here 5 years. Played 39 games and has 3 points. Awesome depth guy!:ohwell:

Injuries.

Yep. Bigger deal for road trips really. Any homestands or games in the north east and the Flyers can probably get away with just 20. The Phantoms are right around the corner and can get to games just as easily as most of the Flyers.

And if Fletcher is done, I bet that's exactly what they do with the guys that are waiver exempt. Save every penny they can, day by day try to bank some cap space.

How many points are the Flyers expected to finish with?

The Philadelphia Flyers are due for a bounce-back season after missing the postseason last year. Philadelphia disappointed with a 25-23-8 record last year. The Flyers didn’t make a ton of changes this offseason, but added some depth pieces in the offseason and did not lose either James van Riemsdyk or Jakub Voracek in the expansion draft. The team is projected to finish with 94.5 points, which would put them right on the cusp of a playoff spot.

Uhh.. someone want to tell this guy July is over and the Flyers made changes? Hard to take journalists seriously when they publish stuff like that. Depth piece, like a 1RD? Didn't lose Jake in the ED, but did trade him. And he's one of their most productive offensive players of the past decade. The changes might blowup in Chuck's face, but he sure as hell made changes? This guy must've spent all of 28 seconds researching this gem.
