Agree other than Polanco will be 3B and Moore will be at 2B per Mariners unless something crazy happens.

My pick of the spring is Cole Young over Mastrobonner or whatever his name is.
Brash won't be ready til late April so I guess it will be Troy Taylor someone like that who will down a bullpen spot until Brash is ready to go.

Cole Young seems like a strong possibility if they are giving him the starting gig at 2nd. That would push Moore to the bench and Mastro to Tacoma. I don't see how Young could do any worse than Moore did last year.

Ya no clue on Brash. He is throwing now and Jerry boy said he would be ready but I think it was Wilson who said late April. They can't get their stories straight.

Which is how it should be if he is ready. Moore is a utility guy and needs to be used as one. He is more Bloomquist than McLemore.

Yeah... I'd rather see Cole Young hit .201 rather than watching a veteran utility player hit .201... At least Young would be getting some exp...

Big difference is they put winning first so what they spend will be off set by keeping the stadium filled, massive merch sales, tv rev and postseason rev. They're banking profits while giving the fans a winning ballclub.

The medium market won't spend until they know they're a player away from playoff/WS run.

Then we have the shit stains of MLB which is where the M's are. Shit owners who hate the fans but love their money making them rich. It's truly a shame they can't figure out if they got a premium bat and 2 above avg bats, make a WS run they'd be banking so much more money and would be considered the best owners to ever own the M's. Yet here we are with a garbage lineup not really enthused about spring training.
Well the big difference between the M’s and them in their younger players took early extensions. Only Julio and Evan White took extensions. The Cubs have a higher payroll but it’s not like they ever go “all in” and same with the Braves. The Braves and M’s are very comparable except the Braves have more hits with the draft, int FA and trades.

I have harped on this but the Mariners would be the Braves today if Jerry sold at the 2018 trade deadline but Jer bear decided 2 months too late that he would do a rebuild.

With Garver it’s kind of complicated. If he is good then can DH but that means they have hurt their bench even more by needing to add another catcher. If he sucks again he is a wasted roster spot on the bench.

Haha that would be the ultimate twist. And IMO I think 99% of fans would totally forget the past 2 years and talk about how great Jerry and ownership is
That would be a dream player. I would give up any starting pitcher for him.

Besides our rotation, there is nothing to be excited about heading into the season opener.

Now now don’t be such a Debbie downer

One quick look at the Mariners schedule and the promotional item shows that at least a few times during the season not only do you get a fantastic bobble head by attending one of their sleeper Weekday games. But instead of One Single Game, giving away the bobble heads it’s for the entire series.

Just think of the good it does for all those Third World countries children who are slaving away in those bobblehead factories to put out triple the amount for the Seattle Mariners.

If that doesn’t give you that warm and fuzzy feeling about this season, I don’t know what will
