I think the nice thing about the RB FA market is at this point I think most teams will wait to sign the next tier of guys like JK Dobbins and Nick Chubb. Let's say the Broncos just cannot pass on other positions because they have great value fall to them. You can circle back to one of those guys for a small 1-year contract if need be.
Nice to see the Kansas Comet post. Nice seeing you here Carl

Haha thanks. I've always loved this board and just have those moments where life hits hard and it takes a back burner in my personal life so I do apologize for that. Wish I could say life will start to calm down, but I'm figuring out with 3 kids and work it just doesn't seem to have that in the cards.

Scott texted me yesterday though as that nice little reminder that I got a great group here that I love to talk football with when the opportunity presents itself.

The other thing I could see the broncos doing at RB during the draft is making a draft day trade. Allgeier is on the trade block and I can't see it costing much more than a later round pick. Falcons are a team rumored to want to trade back and accumulate some more draft picks so could be a place the Broncos look.

Stingley's new contract blew PS2's contract out the water. Glad Broncos got that done early as he is certainly the best CB in the league. Stingley is no slouch but is no PS2.

I love Stingley, Surtain and Horn but this statement is 100% true and I am going to guess Surtain would be the first to tell you he doesn't care that those two make more then him. Then again it helps when you grew up with a dad who had NFL money... ;) but I think Surtain looks at it is as "I got paid and good for them even if I am better then them.

People probably remember how high I was on Stingley coming out. He was my highest graded FR CB ever then battled some injuries. I think he is a top 5 CB but he isn't better then Surtain. Glad he got paid. Same class as Bonitto so hopefully we get Bonitto locked up before the start of this coming season. I think we will.

My guess is by the end of next year we will be talking about PS2 as the top CB (as we already are) and Stingley as the second best.

Horn is solid but he isn't "great" like Surtain and like Stingley will become but bad teams have to pay a lot of money to keep good players around like Carolina did with Horn.

I thought Sauce Gardner took a big fall last year. He isn't bad but he took a pretty good fall from the top 3 CB debate last year.

As an LSU fan I love Stingley and he has immense talent, but nobody is Surtain who is just a master of his craft in every way. If Surtain continues his trajectory he will be talked about not only as the best now, but in that conversation for all time CB's.

What I really admire about Surtain is that it’s almost all business. Almost no showboat. That’s as rare as finding a chiefs fan with teeth.
