Doesn’t matter , prove it in games because his history is he doesn’t do it in gameswell apparently, he is an upgrade over McCaffery and Zack according to camp reports. Its a make-or-break year for him.

If you are basing crap off of camp the Zack is killing him . Camp is a part of the process not the process.well apparently, he is an upgrade over McCaffery and Zack according to camp reports. Its a make-or-break year for him.
Rice matters because of level of competition and the inherent requirement to level up with greater competitors. That said, I believe that his biggest obstacle has been his lack of experience at the position, and the upside promise that he's shown. This is why I'm confident that the organization will find a place for himwell, a lot of people were writing of Brown b/c WR was going to be drafted this year. Playing at Rice shouldn't matter IMO. It was known that Maye was going to be a project and not pro ready for Week 1. Brissett will probably start Week 1

As for Maye, there was a lot of debate on this board between Daniels and Maye leading up to the draft, so it wasn't common knowledge among those favoring him, concerning his (Maye's) proreadiness.

I remember telling the board that Daniels was the guy long before the draft and that it was questionable if Maye was the 4th best QB in this past draft. (I had Williams, Daniels and Penix as the top 3)I remember Daniels being more pro ready at draft time and Maye needed to be developed. When we hired KK, I liked the fit with JD. Both are talented.
Alot of good WR's came from non-big time schools.
The one thing that doesn’t concern me about Luke McCaffrey is that he will be ready. With the family bloodline, he’s probably forgotten more about being a wide receiver than a lot of the guys in rooms around the NFL.I remember Daniels being more pro ready at draft time and Maye needed to be developed. It’s more a question of getting those reps in this offense and not overthinking things, which is coming to come with time. But as a former QB, he also has that book knowledge.
There’s a reason, even coming out of Rice as a two year WR, that he went in the third round.
I'm with dad on this one. Brown is supposed to be a deep ball specialist and in his few opportunites he dropped several. And that's all he brings to the team and really isn't all that fast. If he was a real WR able to run routes and be productive we would have seen it by now, beating out Docton and Samuel for playing time would not have been hard. But he has had 3 seasons and has not produced, I don't think he makes the team. Not saying that Dean , however when he got opportunities he failed to capitalize. Now if he couldn’t get playing time over Samuel or Dotson then how is he an upgrade or status quo now ?

we get all acc games here,i saw a lot of unc games, maye never impressed me much.Rice matters because of level of competition and the inherent requirement to level up with greater competitors. We get a whole lot of the ACC here as well and what's impressive about Maye has been his physical attributes and some of the throws that he makes when he's "on" his game. He's inconsistent as hell, and his style of play reminds me of Sam Howell in many ways. Given enough time and patience, I see the potential, but he has to really work towards putting it all together.we get all acc games here,i saw a lot of unc games, maye never impressed me much.
he was really bad in his next to last game in unc against outfight awful uva.they had a front yard football mindset. We get a whole lot of the ACC here as well and what's impressive about Maye has been his physical attributes and some of the throws that he makes when he's "on" his game. Yeah, his performance in that Virginia game was really disappointing, but for me the one that I wanted him to really show something was Clemson. To me the ACC is more of a basketball conference eventhough they've had some teams do well nationally. Clemson to me was a great game for him to show that against better competitors he could do well as he would in the NFL.he was really bad in his next to last game in unc against outfight awful uva.they had a front yard football mindset.
