Ugh. I know he was/is a fringe player, but the staff showed trust in Cook so he obviously showed enough talent. And he has looked good in limited showings.

But I also know that lisfranc injuries can be career-enders for big guys. He was back at practice on the DFR window. My guess is he suffered an unfortunate setback.

That sucks about Cook. Was looking forward to see what he could do.

Well it's not a steak dinner, but maybe a 3-yr old mint at the hostess desk on your way out

Better than trading a 4th to Carolina for Mingo and a 7th.....

Going to be a fun game to watch. Tomlin is old school and will try to control the game by controlling the clock. It works if they can get TDs on the board. Scary part is if they keep settling for FGs then all it takes is a 2nd half TD and the opponent is right back in it.

I don't have much faith in the DC here in Pgh, so I don't think the Steelers will stifle them. They'll trade punches most of the game. Could boild down to who makes the most mistakes shooting themselves in the foot.

Ya, game is likely coin flip, Pitt is getting 3 cuz they are playing in Landover.

I expect Y'all to focus on stopping the run and attacking with TJ

I expect us to run and Jayden try and take advantage of 1 on 1 coverages for deep shots but remain patient with whatever your D gives him.

our RT is vulnerable but I expect lots of extra help with blocking. Interior Oline is strongest with a rookie at LT but he's been holding his own (I also expect the possibility of vet Lucas rotating in again for LT snaps if he's healthy enuff

BRob our hammer RB has been nursing a knee injury and if he plays I see I as limited snaps, primarily by the goal line.

Also, I doubt Lattimore will play this week and our kicker Seibert showed up on the injury report yesterday so that's something to keep an eye on.

will Preston play this week? how about Williams?

All in all, I think its gonna be a helluva battle and im hoping for a clean game with no injuries

Side note - give away is burgundy towels at the stadium, which I think is brilliant given our second primary color is gold :D

Great win, big plays when needed, but the fake punt and the fumble at the goal line made things much more difficult……huge catch by Williams and a big road win with a lot of Steeler fans in attendance.

Can I come back and say I told you so about Russell Wilson?

?

I thought he played well given the conditions. Had like a 115 rating in a snow bowl.

Gotta admit, I'm slowly losing faith with Arthur Smith's playcalling. He was predictable at the start of the year, and got better when Russ became the starter... But it appears he's back to being predictable.

I mentioned that on the game chat. He surprises me sometimes with good calls from the 20 to 20 but in short yardage/red zone is god awful.

Are the Steelers allowed to throw on 1st down near the goal line? They run up the middle and get stuffed every time with no element of surprise, only to be left with a predictable pass which is always expected by the defense…..zero imagination

Don't forget the predictable screen pass that has no imagination and gets blown up every time.

This team is 8-3 in spite of the coaching. Yeah Tomlin had an amazing game plan a few weeks ago and folks were asking us why do we get frustrated with him. THIS game last night is more the norm vs that game 2 weeks ago. And it is so mind numbing when he uses timeouts. I still can't believe as a coach in the first half when he rushed Fields out there on that 4th down play. Instead of calling the time-out, Fields rushed the snap and it failed miserably.

Another episode of Gilligan trying to get off the island……the Fields 4th down play summed up the night……
