Lions OL coach is an official candidate for OC, sounds like he has potential
We need that home run pickLets look at free agency to address the OL. Hawkblogger had a video on it.
The home run would be Trey Smith of the Chiefs. After that:
Will Fries (Colts) low ceiling not physical but handles the position OK
Tevin Jenkins (Bears) Plays well but very injury prone
Kevin Zeitler (Lions) Too old
James Daniels (Steelers) injured but is that physical type, could come at a discount
Mekhi Becton (Eagles) Can play both Guard and tackle.
Will Hernandez (Cardinals) cost, age, ability and affordability looks like a good fit, coming off a injury
Ben Bredeson (Bucs) Lower tier type
Nate Herbig (Steelers) Center has a bit of guard experience
Just some of the options.
It's bound to happen but I prefer the Jets. I want to see that shit show with their 17yr old GM making decisions.I just saw that the Seahawks are one of 4 teams that could be forced to for NFL Hard Knocks. I really hope that doesn't happen.
I like that idea.Lions OL coach is an official candidate for OC, sounds like he has potential

Nflpa all pro team, jalen carter made it but witherspoon is absent...
Not a lot of experience since he came into the NFL with a season long injury, similar to what JJ McCarthy is going through.he's 26 with 9 pass attempts
he actually turns 27 in 4 days.he's 26 with 9 pass attempts
JJ will be 22 next year. He was the youngest QB. Hooker was the oldest player drafted in his draft. Not a lot of experience since he came into the NFL with a season long injury, similar to what JJ McCarthy is going through.
He allegedly played in a gimmick offense in college.Heard a name suggested as a replacement for Geno that was interesting Hendon Hooker of the Lions. Thoughts on Hooker?
Yeah it was that type of offense, in his favor didn’t turn over the ball and was a mobile QB, cheap cap wise.He allegedly played in a gimmick offense in college.
Id rather take a flier on rile leonard.

I'm sure the entire Lions staff is popular with Lions fans. Having a line coach be OC reminds me of the Cable hire. In fact seems like Macdonald vision isn't a lot different then the approach Pete Carroll took and typical of defensive minded HCs build a good D and the offense purpose is to chew up the clock with runs, limit turnovers. Does Fraley have any experience calling plays? Does he help draw up plays for the Lions? Are the Seahawks going back to run, run, pass, punt or run, run, run, punt? Got to say so far not impressed with the list of candidates they have lined up for interviews for the OC job, another thing that harks back to Pete. This is what I was worried about if Grubb was fired.A coworker of mine is a lions fan, he said take anyone but hank fraley, he is apparently very popular there.
I wouldnt be shocked if the lions promote him to OC when ben johnson leaves.
