It’s absurd to start calling QBs busts or judging who is the best rookie QB after 3 games.

It's ridiculous. To put any kind of label on them after 1 full season of play is probably a little early, after 2 you should pretty well know what you have. For QBs, most of the vets that make it talk about seeing most of what you'll see after 25 games played. That's 1 1/2 years at what is thought to be the most difficult position in sports to get comfortable playing. So I'd trust what those guys say as opposed to keyboard warriors or supposed "NFL experts".

JJ McCarthy 1st round.

Cracking Up Lol GIF by Rodney Dangerfield

Nix and McCarthy will both be lucky to get off the board before the 5th.
Man, sometimes looking at old posts is like christmas. Especially when someone bags a guy who his team drafts 3 months later

Do you guys care to change your mind?
Why? I was pretty much right about everything but it's 3 games in.... Yes, Caleb is struggling but like I said, I liked Jayden more in the future. I think both can still be really good. I thought Jayden had the higher ceiling.

I will say that there are some youtube channels that have no idea whats going on when it comes to QB play and Im filtering them out from here on out.

Former QBs who analyzed tape kinda knew what was up with Daniels. That said, Daniels is a year older than Williams so Caleb could still end up being a star.

While I think everyone can agree with this most QBs who start out great usuall end up being pretty good. You can't call anyone a bust after 3 games, I think Caleb will be awesome sometime soon, but you can kind of get a feel for who is going to be good pretty early.

I said on draft day and feel even more so now, I'll take Jayden Daniels over any other player in that draft.

Yep. Daniels will turn 24 in December. Played 5 years in college. Definitely not fair to compare after 3 games in the NFL, not really one year. I think 2-3 years is fine. People will always overreact after a year though. That being said, I liked both and still do but I thought Jayden had the higher ceiling and still do.

How likeable is Jaydan Daniels? With that smile and personality he has that Magic Johonson vibe, I can't wait for him to rip off that 40 yard run that we all know is coming.

After being laughed at and riduculed for decades it's wild that the nation fell in love with the Washington QB the other night, we are a team other fans will want to watch and not mock. What a change.

Yeah, good for Washington after all those years of Dan Snyder and the stink that he carried around that rubbed off on everyone. Daniels is really likeable as you said but watching him up there behind the podium, I have to remember he's 24 and not 14. He looks like a kid, lol.
Still too early to overreact to any of these kids, imo. Some good signs for Daniels so far but a lot can happen. We honestly don't know much about young QBs until about Thanksgiving of year 2. Washington needs to do something with that defense now so they don't ruin this kid because he has to do too much.

I think the real tragedy here for football fans was that the Bears roster was ready to seriously compete this year and Washingtons not so much. Washington probably has a real QB but not they need to make sure he stays healthy so they can make a serious run next year.

There is still a really good chance that Caleb Williams will be the best non-WR in the draft. I just think that the teams fits didn't fully match up.

Yeah let's wait till the end of the season and we can talk about how RGIII is a WAY better QB than Andrew Luck.

Spiking the ball on QB evaluations any time before year 3 or 4 is foolish.

I remember people still touting their QB knowledge about how they just knew Sanchez was going to be a good NFL QB after his 3rd season.

It was a total rebuild and they did what they could in one off season. I don't see them doing anything now about the defense, the are thinking more long term so I don't see them trading draft capital for a quick fix. And after 30 years of this crap I can wait another year or 2.

Year 3 is where we see if the QB is legit or not. Penix is in a different situation so his year 3 could be his first full season as a starter.

Honestly, the QB evaluation doesnt really seem to be done until a QB retires. Andy Dalton, Sam Darnold, Geno Smith. Once a guy learns the game he can probably stay in the league until he is 40

Couldn’t agree with this statement more From Warner.

Fit matters, coaching matters, Front offices matter

While I’m thrilled that Jayden has developed well 3 games into his NFL career, (how could I not be coming from a poverty franchise for over 25 years) there is miles to go for him in his journey.

Caleb looks like he’s improving every week and he hasn’t been gifted with some of the advantages JD5 has.

Only time will tell the tale.

What do I need to change? I think I was pretty much right on. I couldn't put Daniels over Caleb and still wouldn't. I'm not labeling Caleb a bust over a slow start.
Just wondering if people have changed their mind about Williams being better than Daniels. Williams could very much turn it around -- end the lousy mistakes -- and have a better career. I am not shocked that Williams is struggling early and Daniels is looking great.
