I know I’m in the minority

He's 35 in September. And as much as I love Jimmy, he's not the kind of player I see aging particularly well. You could make a case his end of career decline has already started and wouldn't be shocked if you start seeing dramatic drop offs starting as soon as this coming season. Realistically, I think he's only got 2 more years of "being Jimmy Butler". I'd cut bait with him now to avoid paying out some kind of long term deal.
