Yep big time. This roster was better than that group imo. Bird was 35 and Magic wasn’t magic. Not the same 35 plus like LeBron, Kd, and Steph. I think our bigs were the same if not better. The only clear advantage they had imo was the pg position

But because they were beating the shit out of crappy teams then it must mean no other USA roster since 92 would beat them

I was looking at the 2012 roster and I think they are better than the redeem team and would give the dream team a run for the money
I'd have to go look but sure. The 1992 team was all Hall of Famers even Laettner. Too soon to say if the 2024 team will all be HOFers, was the 2012 one?

And also where the players are in their careers matters, in 1992 you had 2 guys there mainly for show (Magic and especially Bird), and a college kid. In 2024 everyone is at peak or near peak level.

2012 was just a better put together roster. Had the right mixture of superstars and role players imo. They had like 3 role players type guys

Roster was the following:
Melo
CP3
Harden
Love
Kobe
Iggy
Deron Williams
Russ
LeBron
KD
Tyson Chandler
AD

Have to remember what these guys were doing in 2012 excluding AD who was a rookie replacement for Blake griffin

Yeah the only ones there not likely to make the Hall are Williams and Chandler

Yep and i don’t know if you remember that year but early 2010s, the convo for best true pg was always cp3 or Deron so you had the 2 best true point guards on the same roster. Scary shit

Why does every single time modern players do something grea .the internet becomes flooded with old dudes trying to shove MJ down our throats and devalue the current players??.

I have no idea who would win between 2024 and 1992.
But I do know there are 121 current foreign players in the NBA compared to 18 in 1992, including the last 6 NBA MVPs in a row.

The dream team was great. That is not debatable.
But, their competition (other than the college all-stars who beat them) were comically awful in talent level. That is also a fact.

It wasn't "old dudes" that brought it up.

But glad you could get that off your chest. :thumb:
