If it's not his last contract, it's almost certainly the last contract that will be anywhere close to max level.

It's his last contract. IMO. I think that is why he wanted the 4th year. He doesn't strike me as the player who will be like Bron...playing to 39 and beyond.

Simple: because it's the Lakers calling and he won't trade with them unless he can embarrass them. They've never traded with the Lakers and are looking to keep it that way unless they can make out like bandits.

He's not enough of an upgrade over Rui (especially with that contract and his willingness to stay and lose in Portland) to give them even one 1st IMO (since those firsts are post-Lebron).

Pretty safe bet that it has nothing to do with PG fulfilling his contract and walking away when the Clips wouldn't pay him what he was asking for (after re-signing Kawhi) and that she didn't want them to pay him.
