The old cba was so much better

Laughable how bad this one is

Especially with the cap artificially suppressed for no reason

It's easy to feel that way when you are a glamor franchise with no problem drawing free agents and/or have an owner willing to pay and pay. But teams other than the Lakers and Celtics would like the opportunity to sign players good enough to win a championship.

Banking on improvement from their core starters that are age 26, 26, 28, 31 & 39.

What could possibly go wrong?

Banking on improved HEALTH and at head coach is more accurate.

Other than Lebron's offer to take less for a couple of unlikely MLE candidates, they are up against the 2nd apron. They are pursuing trades but unwilling to overpay ridiculously.

Cheap owners should sell if they can’t afford to be an owner and pay the tax to compete.

You think he’s ready? This town can be rough on athletes. Talk radio is unrelenting. The Eagles will run interference but as soon as the Eagles season wraps it’s all Sixers. The Flyers have become irrelevant. He better have some thick skin.

He had a bit of cushion against the media in LA being on the G team (per Mecca) and as a returning resident. I imagine his stops in Indiana and OKC weren't that rough either in comparison to what he's going to get in Philly.

@DJ Fieri said last night… for a third option?

Yep. That’s what Tobias Harris was and he was crucified.

Celtics probably only run it back one more time thanks to this Lenny level Cba
Sort of working as expected. They banned super teams and dynasties. Just glad my team was the last one before the new rules.

Still haven't had it and only got the first 2 shots.

I got the first 2 and one booster but did get it last year. I got such a light case that I likely wouldn't have noticed otherwise if I hadn't tested (did so because my Dad tested positive).

And trying to force parity through the cba hasn't really worked either. Money isn't the only reason that smaller markets don't get top FA's and often have to overpay the ones they do get. Young millionaires are always going to want to be in places like LA, Miami, etc. over smaller markets.

On the money side, even when smaller market teams get top players, they often can't or won't spend enough to put contending talent around them.

The best formula for small market teams is doing what OKC has done twice now...build through the draft and when the time comes that they have to make tough decisions...hope they make the right ones.

They weren't hurt last year....were they? Only guy I can think of is Vanderbilt and I like him as a player....but he isnt changing anything in the W & L columns.

71 games out of Lebron and 76 out of Davis like they had last year is WAY more than I think you can even hope for in this upcoming season.

71 games out of Lebron last year is 5 more games last season than he has played in any of the 5 previous seasons.
76 games out of Davis is literally a career high for him.

Last dynasty probably. I think the Celtics qualify as a super team though.
We debated that during the finals. I called them “super team adjacent”. In the new parity they are “super” but not sure they matchup with the 1996 Bulls or 2017 Warriors or 1985 Lakers or whatever. Perhaps the 2012 Heat or 2008 Celtics? They’re right on the border at the very least
