SL doesn't matter but if you think it does....more to the game than just offense.

You may have missed the game where he had 3 blocks and 3 steals? He rebounds the ball for a guard, passes, and plays defense.

Yeah, I get there's more than offense. But he's been so terrible on offense him playing even well on defense is still a net negative. He pretty clearly shouldn't see the court in an NBA game anytime soon. I'm not even sure he would be starting on the G League team, if the roster is similar to next season.

Will he make the G-League? LOL.

He got a 4 year deal worth almost 8 mill. He is definitely making the squad, not to mention playing with his dad in the NBA.

Yeah, I mean sure he'll make it probably, but will it be justified? Probably not. Is he currently better than the guards on the South Bay Lakers last season? Definitely not.

Go easy on Bronny... clearly, the kid got super intimidated when he saw those Celtics jerseys on the other end of the court last night...

:heh:

AJ Johnson on the Bucks.....drafted 23rd by the Bucks.

Does he deserve to make the Bucks opening day roster?

He’s not good. It’s a shame. He’s an ornament because his father wants to be able to say he played with his son.

Rumors are floating that Mikal Bridges plans to leave money on the table like Brunson did. Imagine leaving money on the table so they can pay their 4th option $43 million.

Name the last 5 55th picks in the draft without looking it up. You cannot because it is just 5 spots away from the NBA version of Mr Irrelevant. Very few late 2nd rounders at that spot make the League. He can play defense, but his offensive game needs a lot of work. If he plays a few games at the start of the season with his dad and gets sent down to the G-League it hurts nobody. Or he starts the season down in the G-League and comes up later.

It's not like he will be a rotation player at the start of the season, prolly play a few games with his dad when the game has been decided.

So older players should take less but not younger players?

Brunson took less but he can still get like 80 mill per in a few years.

Bridges can take less when he is due an extension but he will get paid also.

These guys aren't on their last contract or anything.

Injuries happen. Lost opportunities for a payday are ill-advised. They can have their kumbaya moment, but there's no guarantee that this leads to success.

Older players take less because they lose leverage and/or are sick of losing.

Sure, but they have Clarkson and Sexton that they seemingly cannot move.
Why does that matter though? They’re not trying to win. They’re trying to stock pile assets.

Will Bronny even make the Lakers G League team at this point? I never thought he should have been drafted, but he's been even worse than I thought. I mean I think it would be cool if he made the Lakers and played with Lebron, but he's pretty clearly not good enough.

LOL. He's already made the Lakers and will play much of the season at the G league. His shooting has been awful, but it doesn't deter the rest of his game.

Funny how nobody complained about Scheierman's shooting last night, lol. His game is based on shooting, hit his first 3 and missed everything else, 1-7.

You vomited “other people’s ideas” at the wrong spot. You just spit out a defense of drafting him. I’m just saying he’s not a good basketball player. Period. He can’t play. How is that ever changing? It’s not. LeBron is a pretty selfish dude to put this kid through this. His legacy is already written. His legacy is:
You
Suck

You’re defending a circus. It’s not even about the basketball anymore for LeBron. It’s a shame.

He's definitely a favor pick, but he has showed the rest of his game to a solid level, just not the shooting. His defense will only look better once he's part of a structured team that knows how to play together.

The player that has disappointed me the most is Castleton. He looks too soft for the NBA. Queta big-boyed him over and over, and Castleton always seems to fumble away rebounds/dribbles and misses so many bunnies. The team played so much better with Moses on the floor. Diarra got an Exhibit 10 contract and has hardly moved from the bench for some reason. It's not like this team is going to win games, get him out there.

This Lakers summer league team would look so much better if they had a passable PG. Forest has been invisible, East has improved but still is erratic, etc. Did Kuhse even play last night? Would've been a great opportunity for JHS, but he's not fully recovered from his late season surgery yet.
