W/O a doubt and worth the gamble at that price for the Blues. They are only paying him 2.6 million next year, if he goes back into the wellness program that cap hit is gone.

From what I can tell though in his return to Detroit he looked good in those 5 games.

I don't get that from the Canucks perspective. They can get their center in the off season but yeah....Jeff Carter .

Good news is in the off season it might be easier to trade him out when the cap isn't as big of a problem.

Hayes is best friends with Johnny Hockey and would immediately be able to relate to his Jackets Teammates in recovering from Torts. Could come alove again between Laine and Johnny.

Considering Columbus has next to no money coming off the books next season they would pretty much have to move Gudbranson.

Torts loves Jenner and I think the franchise and fanbase needs to move on from him. He's all heart but not great skill and he's done well between Johnny and Laine. It would be great to see how someone with some skill would do there. Jenner straight up with nothing retained would be great to me.

And Jackets sit at 21m in space today with Werenski's 9ish on LTIR. And 5m in retained salary going away this year.

I don't care what is going back this trade does them zero good and is a HUGE L for Hextall. The only thing it does is give nostalgia, and we all know how well that works out.
