We're significantly worse at home by a lot, not a little. And a big part of that is that we've given up a lot more runs than we've scored at home. Cold weather has nothing to do with it since the other teams are playing us at home, right, lol? If anything, big hitting teams have even more advantage on us at home when it's warmer.

I understand that we rely on pitching and have a pitcher friendly ballpark, but we've also struggled mightily to score runs at home vs on the road. Just stating facts here. TX and Hou have not had that struggle. They're #3-4 in the AL right now for runs scored on the road and we're far enough in the season to account for pitcher friendly parks they've hit in this year.
I guess you make valid points. I guess my view comes from I would take the M’s great staff against the Rangers great offense and the Rangers below average staff vs the average Mariners offense where the ball won’t fly. The final home stand the crowd will also help the team. But who knows, you make great points that I don’t really have an answer back to.

Munoz IS the closer going forward...Is what it is...Set-up man crazy good...Closer...Needed to find his inter Rambo!
Berroa will be up September 1st, and I think he is the guy going into the year Jerry wanted to be the closer but he doesn’t have any control. Granted it is dumb to toss a rookie into that role but it’s not exactly Scott knows how to handle a pitching staff. The best coaching Scott has ever done was in Houston when Hancock got hurt cause he couldn’t use the little analytics card telling him how to use his staff.

You too about home field advantage. That's big. Add who the fuck even knows with this team. I just try to harden myself against disappointment. At this point they just have to bring it. Cheesy amd cliche, sure, but it's what it all comes down to.

I hope he finds a groove also, but if he doesn’t, no harm in giving someone else a shot…
Well Weaver did look great in his first appearance. They are playing some crappy teams so it may be a good time to just try different formulas for a closer.

1 thing I think for sure if this closer situation stays the same then Miller will be moving to the closer role in the playoffs. It is why it really sucks that Hancock got hurt cause that 6 man or skip a start rotation could’ve let Woo, Hancock, Miller and Weaver the ability to attempt closing experience.

Who?

They don't have any great option.

Well I recall the Big Unit coming in to pitch in relief against NYY out of the pen late in a post season game.

When you get your dog into the fight of post season ... conventional tactics are out the window.

You do what is necessary to win ball games and advance to the WS

Has Servais ever done anything bold with the bullpen?

We're stuck with the skip we have.

Well he brought in Robbie Ray to face Yordan Alvarez just last year post season ALDS for a relief pitching role

You know the sad end to that story / mound appearance I am sure

That appearance is more on the fact that Scott/whoever only does the analytical crap when it comes to his bullpen use. That’s why the Astros game that Hancock got hurt was such a nice surprise cause he went from the hip. All the “numbers” in the world say Ray was the best in that situation against Alvarez, but numbers don’t take in account his confidence or how poorly he had been pitching

Every April from now on, just close the roof, pump up the heat, and play songs that have the word "Summer" for every M who walks up to the plate.

Mariners prostituting themselves to Apple TV+ yet cry broke.
Is that a Mariners' decision? I think it's dictated by MLB. Awful, either way, but I don't think it's their fault...
